My Uncle Joe I must say that my Uncle Joe is a personality one simply cannot miss looking at in a crowd. Though Joe is a short and sweet name, yet, trying to assess the size of Uncle Joe by the size of his short name will be akin to guessing the proportions of a pachyderm by merely looking at its tail. Simply speaking, Uncle Joe is one big man. At a cursory glance, Uncle Joe strikes a person as six feet seven, the tall and well-proportioned mass of pink and ruddy protoplasm.

His width seems to be bent at doing justice to his tall and stately stature. Broad chest, with a deep seated midrib, which effortlessly and gently rises and falls while breathing, like a blacksmith’s bellows. Heavy set and well-rounded shoulders coming out of a thick neck, gently extending into well-formed and sinewy arms. Thick wrists gave way to big and strong hands promising a vice like a firm grip. A tight and plump abdomen that though rises a few inches above the chest, in no way betrays signs of any pathological obesity.

A broad waistline, falling an inch or two short of the chest, results in an impressive, V-shaped silhouette. Uncle Joe has long and abundantly endowed legs, capable of supporting an equally well-endowed body. The most interesting feature of Uncle Joe is his face. He has a broad and rectangular forehead, crowned with an abundant crop of hair that has just started to go silvery. Big brown eyes, under thick, black eyelashes, exuding a childlike innocence with the promise of an understanding and sensitive maturity reaped over a well-lived age.

I must say Uncle Joe has a well-formed and shapely nose, which never seems to be too big for a person of his size. Slightly small ears with short lobs, mostly hiding under his lush sideburns. He has fleshy and ruddy cheeks, culminating into a sleek and strong jawline. Nature has gifted his face with a noticeable and impressive sheen evincive both of health and gentleness. I must say that Uncle Joe is a 45-year-old Hercules blessed with the temperament of a well-bred and thorough gentleman. Uncle Joe’s dressing sense though casual, well suits his personality.

Mostly he is attired in worn-out jeans fitted around his waist with a broad leather belt. His shirts are mostly pastel-colored which goes well with his jeans. He always wears ankle-high leather shoes that certainly do ample justice to his height. Besides, he prefers to always wear short sleeve shirts that highlight his muscular biceps. In winter a big, brown leather jacket attires his youthful persona. While being around Uncle Joe, one simply cannot miss the delicious smell of tobacco mingled with Old Spice, exuding from his clothes.

Uncle Joe certainly has a natural talent for making others feel welcome and comfortable. Uncle Joe is a member of my extended family who I always love to meet. Though he rarely seems verbose, he has an uncanny ability to extend love and warmth to others. Being around Uncle Joe is always a nice and soothing experience.
