In this situation there can be some issues and problems regarding project working and handling. It is assessed that change is probable in every project. However project is time and costs are most sensitive in any project scenario we cannot afford a change regarding overall project operating and handling. For this reason we will deploy a proper reporting and documentation system overall project activities. In this scenario we will assess and analyze each project task and document them to be safe from any possible project hurdle or problem. Problem Situation In case of our school building construction project we are delayed by 10 working days. In case of delay in the project the project duration is considerably extended. This leads to more delayed project completion. This way the overall cost of project will also increase and we also need to re-plan the overall project in a new way. In case of delay in project critical path activity there can be huge issues regarding effective handling and management of the project. In this scenario we need to take some corrective actions. Proposed Solution Short Term Delay Management In order to minimize the duration of the project for school construction we need to concentrate on non-critical activities. However, a change in duration of critical activities will affect the duration of whole project. So we need to add more resource like human resource and insert some additional shifts for handling and management of project tasks on time. Long Term Delay Management For shortening the project time we need to concurrently run the school construction project activities. In this project we have a number of project activities that lie on critical path. Thus, by running these activities in a concurrent way we would be able to complete this project on time as well as within budget. For long term project effective handling and management we need to implement and project control policy. For this purpose we need to apply effective project control policy for enhanced management of project tasks and working arrangements. Project Control Monitoring Time In scenario of the project success we need to monitor the project time in a more enhanced way. In this regard we will apply a proper project evaluation and monitoring and those will monitor and assessed through the project committee. Project committee will handle as well as organize the major tasks as well as actions in scenario of general administration of the project aspects and states. Here this school construction project committee will set up a check and balance system on every of the project activities and areas plus take corrective actions for the betterment of the overall project and its success (Kerzner, 2006; Gray et al., 2010). Managing Change Change is probable in every project. However this school construction project is time sensitive in this scenario we cannot afford a change regarding overall project operating and handling. For this reason we will deploy a proper reporting and documentation system overall project activities. In this scenario we will assess and analyze each project task and document them to be safe from any possible project hurdle or problem (Kerzner, 2006; Gray et al., 2010). Project Reports This project will involve a proper reporting and assessment mechanism that will involve the enhanced recording of all project events and aspects. This report will also be used for the project change control and issues resolution (Kerzner, 2006; Gray et al., 2010). Project Close and Post Project Review In scenario this school construction project successful completion and on time delivery of all project phases and deliverables we will declare the success of the project. Here we will take proper feedback and customer satisfaction for the enhanced project completion and management. Here we will also verify the efficient achievement of the plan as well as its central influence on the entire aspects. Here we will essentially assess the cost as well as resource and their efficient use to match their improved utilization (Hughes & Cotterell, 2002). Risk Management In case this school construction project; we will manage the some of main risks of the project. Here main risks are involving the project time risks. In this regard we will perform a comprehensive assessment and analyse the some of main areas and aspects of the project to meet the project established expectations. Here main risks regarding this project can be (Hughes & Cotterell, 2002; Kerzner, 2006): Time Risks Cost Risks Technology Risks Management Risks Conclusion Effective project management is a key to success to the project. In case of effective management of the project we need to take care of major areas and aspects of the project. Here we need to assess and analyse some of fundamental areas and aspects for the detailed planning and handling of resources and needs. This report has offered a detailed project plan where we also deal out some of major project delays and problems. Bibliography Gray, C., Larson, E. & Desai, G.V., 2010.
