Alternative Energy Supply System Project Team: Submitted IEEE Supervisors: School: Issued Introduction An alternative provides a solution other than the existing one. In the case of energy supply, an alternative energy system avails electricity through the utilization of a source of energy than the one provided through the electricity supply network [1]. As per the conditions presented in the Bambui experience, it is evident that the community needs a reliable alternative source of energy after the collapse of the hydroelectric project.
The alternative energy supply system as proposed shall make use of natural resources like wind and sunlight [2]. For wind energy source, it is noted that it could be tidal, hydropower, or wave; while for solar power, it could be solar thermal. Under the proposition, solar panels and wind turbines have been proposed. These energy supply projects have arisen after the evaluation of the area that the Bambui community is located. Considering that, the proposed energy project incorporate the use of alternative energy sources obtained from natural sources, it is important to determine the advantages of these energy sources.
One is that they are infinite, unlike the hydroelectric power source whereby water can dry out [2]. For example wind, can wind die out? It cannot. The sources of alternative energy sources are free. However, they are society and location particulate, which is the case in Bambui. Weather conditions have to be considered, the source, and geographical location. In addition, there is minimal risk of exposure to hazards and little harm to the environment [3]. The objective of this paper is to develop and suggest an alternative energy supply system for the Bambui community considering all pros and cons of the system.
