Reflection 1: Reason to study Abroad in Australia Studying in a different country in comparison to the country which I belong has enabled me to get an opportunity through which I can ensure better education, use of better technology and understanding the manner in which an advanced country in all fields is able to maintain in comparison to the competitors. I study in Melbourne, Australia and by studying abroad I have been able to ensure better education. The fact that Australia is developed as an education hub with one of the best institutes it has ensured that the quality of education is superior compared to my country. In addition to it the different opportunities and directions through which I can prolong my carrier and also ensure that I am able to deal with different situation in a better way will support me and my family over a longer period of time (Chieffo, 2000). The fact that Australia has students from all around the world has also ensured better cultural integration and has helped to understand the manner in which different people belonging to different section of the society think. This mechanism has developed my overall strategy and enabled me to learn new techniques and method through which I can improve the overall system. Studying in Australia has enabled me to understand the different facets and developments which have taken place with regard to technology and business which will thereby ensure that I am able to use the same in my home country and improve the living conditions of the people. Studying abroad away from my family has also helped me to take decisions individually and has developed the entire environment around me through which I am able to identify my skills and areas which I have to work on (Dessoff, 2007). This has enabled me to be change my style of working and has transformed the entire mechanism through which I am able to take better decisions. Thus, studying in Australia has helped me in different directions and is brining a change in my outlook towards things. This has helped to become more mature and take better decisions at the same time ensuring that I am able to improve my educational qualification (Dolby, 2004). Superior educational facilities and the best in house faculties will enable that I am able to change my outlook which will help me to deliver better results over a longer period of time. Reflection 2: Learning Experience by Studying Abroad The course has been a great learning experience for me as the course focused on different aspects which has helped me to broaden my horizon. The course was designed in such a manner that it looked towards including different aspects which has highlighted the different areas which when improved will help me better. This brought in me a great understanding of the course and helped me understand the different areas which will ensure better results are achieved. The course concentrated on having a workshop where the challenge was to identify the weakness and finding out a method through which I be able to use the educational program in the best way. This will help me to ensure that I am able to present myself before the recruitment agencies and will be able to handle their different queries in a better way (Douglas and Jones-Rikkers, 2001). This activity gave me an exposure to the corporate interviewing process and tips on how to outstand from other graduates. This will thereby help me to improve the overall process through which recruitment takes place and will teach the different directions based on which I will be able to deliver quality result. This thereby ensured that I had to work on different activity during the day and ensure that I was able to keep the same enthusiasm. It helped me to understand the importance of delivering performances on all situations and identifying the mechanism through which I will be able to deliver better results (Daly & Barker, 2005). In addition to it the facilitator was very helpful as he helped me to understand the different areas which are of prime importance and building on those will be able to deliver quality results. The facilitator taught the manner in which I need to dress up, the behavior and the different exercise that I will have to undergo so that I am able to deliver performance on the highest standards (Kitsantas and Meyers, 2001). Thus, the overall learning from the course was great as it focused on different areas and helped to transform my complete learning experience. Also, attending the different training and vocational programs ensured that I was able to contribute most positively. The learning will thereby help to shape my carrier and will provide me an opportunity through which I will be able to move ahead in life and get a prolonged carrier in the field which I desire. Reflection 3: Manner in which education was imparted in Australia The course was a great learning phase as the course emphasized on the different areas which helps to understand the different aspect of the business efficiently. The lecture used different journals and provided different directions based on which I was able to understand the different aspect that an engineer needs to work on. The course highlighted that a person has to be creative on the first instance and has to look towards developing design and things in such a manner that it catches the attention of most. Impulse thereby becomes an important aspect and people who are able to use the interaction of their mind and matter are able to ensure creativity. Thus, the entire learning was immense and was backed by previous studies and examples which helped to understand the importance of being creative. The course was of prime importance as it focused on different direction and helped to understand the various aspect of the business working on which I will be able to ensure maximum efficiency. The course also helped me understand the importance of working in team and looked towards working on the different aspect of the business that an engineer needs to understand (Bakalis and Joiner, 2004). Since, the course looked towards integrating the different aspect that I need to work on. The course worked on various aspect which makes it important for the business to be able to develop a mechanism through which an engineer is able to work on different aspect of the project so that the business gains the required efficiency and the architect is designed to gain maximum efficiency (Kitsantas, 2004). The fact that the course focused on understanding the use of different journals and based it on real life example where it used strategies to develop a mechanism through which the engineer will be able to develop proper architect. The course also ensured that real facts were used and based on it the course was designed to ensure that while developing a new plan it fitted in it so it helped to draw a parallel between real life examples and helped to make a strategy through which the course was designed effectively (DeLoach, Saliba, Smith and Tiemann, 2003). Thus, the learning which helped to improve the knowledge base has been further mentioned. Essay: Question 1 Success of a student studying in a foreign destination depends upon several factors and being able to mold the factors together helps to ensure the best possible result. This leads to the importance of understanding culture, values, beliefs and different practices through which maximum efficiency can be rendered. To ensure maximum growth for an student it imperative that the culture is developed which looks towards diversity and also having proper cordial relations between the students ensures that the resources are used effectively and helps to solve the issues quickly. The Australian universities have students with different personality traits and the incompatibility that exists between them which makes it difficult for the students to achieve the task in hand. Instead of looking towards mutual cooperation the students are driven by the whims and wishes and no consideration is given to ensure that the work carried out is genuine. The work culture has become so complicated that the students look towards achieving the task and at all cost. Also, the universities haven’t been sure regarding the manner in which the responsibilities will be distributed. The universities at this point is driven by students decisions and the long term perspective of building a brand image is not given any consideration which is a valuable asset especially in a service sector like an academic institutions. The entire culture is shocking and displays no rules in strategies to govern the business properly Students who look towards studying with other students belonging to different culture and having different values will see a change in their perception and strategy of doing things. This will show positivity in their behavior and being open to new ideas and changes helps to ensure deep understanding of different subjects. Further, the student will become hard working and will have the required knowledge to handle responsibilities which will motivate all to be able to do the different responsibilities that will be entrusted on them (Jay, 2010). Another quality which differentiates students studying abroad in comparison to others is the ability to listen to people and solve the differences which exist which will help to build cordial relations among themselves and will also act as a tool to identify future talents (Yamamura, Birk & Cossitt, 2010). Good communication skills and solving the matter by reaching to the main point ensures better results and long term brand building. Also getting continuous feedback which acts as a motivating tool for students will help to provide the necessary tools through which better development of the student and understanding the culture of others can be fostered (Porfeli & Mortimer, 2010). The overall quality traits of students will highlight changes and will ensure that people are able to understand each other better and act in a manner through which the student is able to benefit over a longer period of time. Since students belonging to different regions demonstrate both contrasting personality traits as there are complete differences in the characteristics it is important that people understand each other better. It is seen that some students have a more of an outgoing personality and looks towards mixing with people and adopting new ways to do the task whereas some students follows the same traditional ways and lacks flexibility (Jay, 2010). This difference in their personalities will show in their work as students will look towards motivating themselves and the team differently and developing a process through which the task needs to be achieved. Some students only looks at the final result and doesn’t give importance to the process which has affected the brand image of the student and made more and more people to be dissatisfied with them (Ralston, Hallinger, Egri & Naothinsuhk, 2005). Having a proper mix as seen in universities where people belong to different region and belief will have to give the required flexibility and will provide the necessary push to be able to perform at the highest level. This brings forward the fact that students will be able to find out the different traits to be fit for the job as the job requirements are to develop process which helps to ensure customer satisfaction and helps to solve their problems (Franco, 2009). It is also required that during the process the students remain motivated and have their focus on the job so that long term relationship can be developed. The only area that the students needs to look into ins regular feedback which will further help to improve the entire process and help to remove the differences that exist and provide a guideline regarding the past performance and the expected future performance (Porfeli & Mortimer, 2010). This will help students to develop a personality where they are able to mix with people and ensure that they are able to contribute positively towards their improvement and will be able to maximize their opportunity for future growth. The present work culture present at Australian universities shows that the universities are looking towards having maximum cultural integration so that students benefit over a longer period of time. This is primarily on the premise that the present work culture looks towards achieving the final goal through any method. Further, little or no emphasis is given on feedback and improving the morale of the students. The incompatibility that exists within the students is quite evident from the fact that the individual groups are not allowed to communicate with each other and the leader also looks towards minimum involvement of the employees and only looks towards ensuring that they work (Ross & Eeden, 2008). Further, the lack of leadership skills in solving the problems of the students and remaining within oneself shows that the students are dissatisfied with their performance. Even loosing temper and being able to control the emotions has further made the students loose focus and has diverted their attention towards less important things. The lack of complete procedure and benchmark for the employees has affected the manner in which the performances are delivered and has increased the number of clients who are not happy (Tymon, Stumpf & Doh, 2010). The effectiveness and the difficulties which are being faced gets reduced to a large extent as being able to create an environment where students come and interact with different people having different caste and values will be able to develop strategies for their future.
