Components of a portfolio Affiliation room Management strategies According to (Porter, 1996), in order to achieve good management strategies in class there are a variety of activities that one should put into practice. One is by motivating students in the class whereby in class you will find that some students do not have the motivation where they are pessimistic about school, and they attend classes when they are unprepared. Mental mathematics is a type of activity that can be introduced to assist students have a better understanding of linear algebra mathematics where the purpose of this is to teach students how to mentally work with numbers ,as to nurture number sense, and create a function and enthusiasm for linear algebra mathematics. Providing plenty of models, samples, and examples so that students know what to do is one of the introductory activity that helps motivate students .when introducing a topic, for example, give students examples relating to the topic. This helps meet specific learning goals and aims. Class should be made interesting and stimulating to the student which is the lecturer’s duty to ensure this where the lecturer makes his or her lesson inviting and challenging so that the students are interested in finding out what comes next. The lecturer needs to show the students that he takes the interest in them where he has to show them that he likes them, and they belong to that class. Introduction of math review on concept and facts is an example of activity that enables students to be centered in learning math. This is achieved by reviewing material covered in a fun way as students pay close attention because they are never sure when their answers will be called. Assist give students a variety of ways to self-monitor their work. The simplest way is to offer them checklists to keep track of completed tasks. The other thing is that the lecturer is required to make the lesson an experience that will enable the student gain self-esteem because he or she is successfully. There are activities that the lecturer has to carry out to motivate students and increase their interests in learning by use of incentives in the classroom to assist motivation towards achievement for examples price sand assignment ,assist the students in setting goals that are realistic ,develop special projects for the child whose interest is yet to be tapped by the school, have a real purpose in the school work you assign to your students and make sure they relates to their requirements .lecturer ensuring that he do not always point out errors in a students work but show how the finished product can be improved which increase the students interest in learning and you motivate him also. As the lecturer try spending at least two minutes at the start of the lesson where you ask questions, show photos, play clips being the technologies you can apply give quick teamed activities. This helps addresses unique learning styles. There is the need to manage the hyper students and a student who has the ability to screen out irrelevant stimuli is of limit. This can be achieved through the following: Giving clear, written and verbal direction so that your students can find it simple to stay on the work. Students who know how to do their work well will be less apt to be off class than those who do not know what they need to accomplish in class. Make sure that hand on activities has been employed ,ensuring that as many as possible environmental distractions as possible has been eradicated ,establishing a well-defined work area for the student which help reduce outside activities that would take away his concentration ,use of classroom aids headphones and videos to help provide controlled exposure ,ensuring that all the space activities in a realistic manner. Using of time out period to reward a hyperactive student who has spent time the right activities, incorporating gross motor skills into some activities every time possible, using of bilateral activities where you hands and eyes during the lesson are some other unique addressing learning styles a lecturer should possess. Another introductory activity that helps addressing variety of diversity students is by Arousing student curiosity about a lesson and you will find that intrinsic motivation will prevent many discipline problems whereas the lecturer you are required to address various diversities of students in your teaching career. Some students lacks respect for adults ,peers ,some other students property and as well his own property which is an issue being the lecturer you need to address and come up with strategies to deal with such issues. According to (Gay, 2010) lecturer should put into practice three rules being respect, reciprocity, and responsibility and take his time to address such to the students. As the lecturer try never to assume that a student is going to explain or say his or her actions but listen to each student.try and show them that regardless of being a lecturer you are in charge of the class you respect them and in return same respect is expected .never make idle or sarcastic threats to the students as many students do not like it for example asking the students how many times you have asked him being the lecturer. Clearly state the importance and reason for respecting other peoples property and publicly acknowledge those who show respect for others property, so that they can serve as a model to the students behaviors their behavior. 2. Innovations in Education Lecturers and students apply that already made innovations of technology in order to create authentic learning tasks. Use of you tube by the students and the lecturer can be of great significant when it comes to the learning activities. Videos on you tube can be used I classroom in many different ways .they can be used to spark classroom discussions, increase instructional time by assigning videos as assignment , and make playlists for each lesson so that the students can dive deeper into specific areas that are of interest to them. Some videos on YouTube also energize and excite many students in a number of topics such as medeeval history being serving as an example. According to (Albanesc, 1999)YouTube can be used to develop student-lecturer and peer-to-peer communication and collaboration where some peoples for example students may join with YouTube team can help develop resources for lecturers that will help establish an optimum connection between the lecturer and the students. Lecturers require to be taught first on how to use YouTube in the classroom where the lecturers are motivated in learning how to use this innovation in the classroom by awarding the winner. Use of YouTube can increase student motivation and learning where the ever widening gap between have and have not may terminate with the willingness of education community to view education in a new perspective where a student does not require to attend class instead he will read some already recorded video to learn this motivates learning. The same case applies to the lecturers whereby they do not have to be physically in the classroom to teach later he will record videos and upload them on YouTube and the students will learn from video o YouTube which in way motivates lecturers in doing their job as it simplifies everything. YouTube administrators composes this list that comprises some of the popular channels on YouTube that lecturers and students can make use for educational reasons whereby they provide some excellent video explanations and tutorials on a variety of topics that relates to World History, Biology, Literature, Ecology, Chemistry, and US History which supports constructivist framework of teaching and learning School websites can be used in the innovation of technology in the education. The students and the lecturer require having a functioning well designed websites where lecturers uploads and posts the learning materials that he thinks his student requires in their learning process. The students who already have access to the websites will then take the learning materials or even assignments from there. This develops the student-lecturer and peer-to-peer communication and collaboration among them as they interact through that particular website where all the information regarding them is placed including contact numbers and address in case one requires link directly to each other specifically for learning interests. Through the use of school website there is supporting of the constructivist framework of teaching and learning whereby for example a student acquiring learning material from that source he may be motivated on developing a websites and it’s from there where he or she starts gaining motivation on how to create a website and it’s from there that a student’s become a website designer. 3. Career explorations In creating a cover letter one is required to highlight your most marketable skills depending on the field of industry you would like to venture in. There are a number of things that one has to consider bearing in mind that its his or her first job in teaching career. Think about yourself and experiences where you think of how relate to the organization you are writing to. Consider how you got to know about this opportunity .put into consideration how you got to know about this learning institution you are applying for the job. You require knowing who exactly you are writing a letter or a resume. The administrator conducting the interview may require knowing something about me where he or she would ask me to say something about myself. The answer to the question will be based on my qualifications and my performance in case is given a job. The following question may be to give the specific reasons as to why I should be hired in that particular learning institution .the answer will be based on skills, experience and specific qualification they require. The third question they could require me to tell them my future objective. Response to this question will require telling in certain duration of time I will be the best lecturer the institution ever had. The fourth question the administrator interviewing might ask is how my education has prepared me for my career. Answer to the question will require explaining the content I have and how I can be able to apply in their institution. The fifth question would be to enquire whether I am team player or not. The best answer to the question will be yes giving the field that I have participated in for being a team player After the interview, I would ask several questions to the interviewer administrator. First question can be requiring knowing how I can help the institution get to the top level in the next few years or a certain period of time. The second question would be requiring knowing how qualified lecturer do the institution have with the same qualifications may like mine. The third question I would ask is when I should start teaching that will show that Ive interest in the specializing in my career job References Albanesc, J. M. (1999). U.S. Patent No. 5,974,446.
