This was done by placing curbs on recruiting expatriates in the private sector organizations including the educational institutes. As a result of this process, the Saudi government had started a drive to not only reduce recruitment of foreign nationals in schools and colleges and fill vacancies internally, but also to terminate the services of numerous teachers (Immigration and Refugee Board of Canada, 2002). The above shift in the government’s stance towards professional expatriates is of grave concern for those whose families depend upon their employment within the Kingdom.

On the other hand, Saudi Arabia still largely lacks in skilled Mathematics, English, and Computer Science teachers. Further, the Saudi Educational System is regulated in a centralized manner with syllabus, curriculum and other academic activities strictly coordinated under the aegis of the government of Saudi Arabia. Teachers coming from other nations, from cultures and educational philosophies that are vastly different from that practiced in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, may find it difficult to adjust.

Conversely, there may be numerous good points and acceptable practices that these teachers may adapt to their own permanent teaching styles. The current research proposes to study the full impact on the foreign teachers who have spent some time working in Saudi Arabia, especially in private educational organizations. For this reason, both primary and secondary research is anticipated. The primary research will use interviews of foreign teachers and seek their thoughts on the issues that they face in KSA as well as the experiences that they may take back with them when they return.

The foreign teachers who are employed in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia have to encounter a completely different environment than they are used to. There are several changes like the separation of girls and boys studies, the change in curriculum, the lack of governmental support etc., that
