Application for Robert S. Karam Scholarship I am a graduate of B.M.C. Durfee High School in Fall River, Massachusetts and currently a student at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth with a GPA of 3.5. I hope to graduate from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth in 2016 with a BS in accounting. I am of Lebanon descent where Bengal is my native language. I apply for Robert S. Karam Scholarship subject to my dire need of financial assistance in my studies. Currently, I am full time Student but work full time to support my family and college education.

I work as Banker 1 at Citizens Bank. I come from a low-income family where my father work for minimum wage and hence he cannot afford my education and take care of our family. My mother is jobless. My three schooling siblings also rely on my father’s meager income. I have had to work fulltime to help my father cater for our education and other family expenses. I live with my family that heightens my need for financial assistance considering that there is no hope for our family income to increase in the near future.

I am eligible to file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid and hence my application for Robert S. Karam Scholarship. You can attest that I have manifested immense academic potential despite my significant financial challenges. Apparently, my full time job is denying me precious academic time and may jeopardize my career goals. With the Robert S. Karam Scholarship, I will concentrate on my studies and achieve greater grade point average. Upon positive consideration, I promise to maximize the scholarship for my academic success.
