The lesson plan will incorporate: development of a plan for a high school unit of an online course; and planning an online session integrating at least one communication tool found in the online learning environment, for example chat sessions and discussion forums. Online courses involve content, problems, tasks, feedback and collaboration managed via networked computers. The contents placed for the online courses should not be only availed online and then left there for the learner or students to read them.

Rather, the online courses should be planned wisely and carefully with consideration given to: The objectives and aims of the course are majorly broad statements that describe what the overall course intends to achieve (Magner, 2011). The course aims may also guide the tutor on what they intend to cover in the given course (Hofer, Grandgenett, & Harris, 2010). The objectives are usually explicit statements that outline what the student or learner will be capable of doing at the end of each unit of instruction (Magner, 2011).

It is the focus on performances that distinguish aims from objectives. The aim will be looking at the Federal Budget, in order to check for deficits and surpluses; and how they influence the economy. The objectives include or will be for the students to identify different components on making the federal budget; relationship between the government’s expenditure and revenues; and how taxation influences the national debt. 2. Planning and developing course maps showing how the courses should be delivered from the commencement to the end.

There exist different formats used in the delivery of the courses. A course may be organized utilizing weekly topics or structures; in this case, the learners or students would have access to information every week and are required to respond to every activity or task weekly.
