that offers practical strategies for the management and cooperation of leaders of reform, and the people who can assist them to bring about the reform. After highlighting the real life hurdles that educators face in implementing change, Evans Robert has elaborated on how educators can execute such efforts that remain undiscovered and underutilized otherwise. The purpose of the book is to highlight such strategies that the educators may adopt to bring about change in schools. Such strategies are not sudden, as quick-fix ideas do not go in accordance with human nature.

The book also highlights the relationship between change and resistance to change. Resistance is a necessary part of the reform process, as individuals take time to review their cultural and personal values. If there is no resistance, change is superficial and very likely to fail. The book also addresses how people make judgments about what a school setting should be like, without having a complete understanding of what is actually going on in the school. In short, the book addresses unique challenges that school reform authorities and educators face while bringing about change in the education process.

The author of a myriad of educational publications (e.g. Education Week, Educational Leadership, and Phi Delpha Kappan) and three books (Seven Secrets of The Savvy School Leader; The Human Side of School Change; and, Family Matters: How Schools Can Cope with The Crisis in Childrearing), Robert Evans is a clinical and organizational psychologist. He is also the Executive Director of the Human Relations Service in Wellesley, Massachusetts (Pointed Communications, 2009). He has remained a high school and preschool teacher, as well as a child and family therapist.

He has been a consultant in around 1,700 schools around the globe (Pointed Communications, 2009). He has worked with teachers and administrators, and has attended manifold workshops and educational conferences. He has graduated from Princeton,
