Project Research Methods The proposed method for the project research is use of case study method. This method entails a detailed study and analysis of particular persons or groups relating to my scope of the study. The case study method proposes application of six stages to address the research question. The first step involves identification of the research questions about the problems and purpose of the study. The second step explores section of study cases and determination of data gathering and analysis techniques; here I will employ use of multiple sources relevant to my study and techniques in data gathering process.

There afterwards, I will systematically organize the data to ensure focus to the original purpose and questions of the research. This is achievable by collection and multiple storage of evidence expansively and analytically in appropriate formats for easy reference and sorting. Further, I will evaluate and analyze the data using a broad spectrum in interpretation, to establish relationship between the research project and the results in relation to original research question. The case study method supports multiple data collection methods and analysis techniques, presenting me with opportunities adequate to triangulate data to enhance findings and conclusions.

Finally, I would prepare the final report by portraying the case as chronological recounting. Throughout the report preparation stage, I will examine the report to ensure it is complete and even apply an audience group to review and give comments about the draft before making necessary revisions (Brian & Loizos 21–30). The proposed case study method, under more realistic set of constraints for a seminar research paper, is relevant in addressing the study questions considering the following explanation.

As a researcher, I will start by developing a literature review to find out how previous study cases related to the issue in question and use the literature review to answer the questions that relate to “how” or “why”. Then, select and determine data gathering and analysis techniques. When relying on multiple cases, each of the cases receives independent treatment, but the conclusion of each of the cases will contribute to the whole study. At this stage, I will determine whether to study cases that are specifically unique, or to select cases that characterize geographical regions, a variety of parameter, together with other relevant parameters.

The data to be gathered is either qualitative or quantitative; therefore, the study demands good structure to enhance construct validity, internal and external validity and reliability. In addition, in an effort to prepare for collection of data, I will prepare databases to aid in categorization, sorting, storage and retrieval of data for analysis purposes. Since data to be collected and evaluated cases and documentation, I will begin to establish how to access copies of related cases and documentation, make early plans for their storage, appropriate classification and easy retrieval together with conversations and phone calls and interviews.

The evaluation and data analysis process involves use of specific techniques such as developing matrices of categories and arranging the information into arrays. Finally, I will prepare the report to include acknowledged and used cases, problem of the study, research questions, the method used in the study, data gathering and analysis techniques and a conclusion to answer the questions of the study and recommendations (Brian and Loizos 25–32). The proposed case study method is relevant to the research paper for SISU 206 in approaching the study question in the following manner; the research is primary focusing attitudes towards civil unions and newly modified laws in Lebanon.

To start with, I will develop a literature review, to establish how previous studies have addressed the stated issue. Then, use the literature reviews to address the following questions for the study such as, how civil laws are drafted and passed in Lebanon, what are the current civil laws used in Lebanon, how the modification of the civil laws has affected to the Lebanese people. Further, I will develop a research design to address the following components; the study questions, the study prepositions and the criteria for interpreting the findings.

The data collection methods employed should address; use of different sources of information relating to the Lebanese Civil Unions and law and create easy access to such information. Furthermore, it is important to differentiate between questions to ask for specific interviews, questions asked for individual cases, and those questions asked across multiple cases in relation to the study topic. I will gather evidence for my facts and findings through historical documents, archival records, surveys and interviews.

I will then analyze the case study evidence by making use of all the relevant evidence, address the most significant part of the case study and consider other rivalry interpretations. Finally, I will draw the final report to include confirming findings and conflict finding from the literature review (Brian & Loizos 28–32). Works Cited Brian, Pratt. & Loizos, Peter.
