3 – 2 Chart ______________________________ Adolescent Literacy: A Position ment of the International Reading Association 3 Particularly Interesting Ideas.2 Particularly Interesting Quotes.1 Question as a Result of the Reading. There is gradual growth in adolescent literacy in many countries, particularly since after the IRA’s position statement in 1999 (International Reading Association 3-4).There are “no easy answers or quick fixes” (qtd. in International Reading Association 5) in improving adolescent literacy.
