room Meeting Script On September 19, I sat in on a room meeting of a sixth grade The meeting took place at 30 PM and was held in their homeroom classroom. The meeting was spearheaded by the class president and the topic for discussion was their planned unofficial class trip to the local zoo and amusement park on September 29. The class president took charge of the meeting and set a motion for the ground rules for the orderly conducting of the meeting. First of all, she suggested that each person would have his turn to speak via roll call in order to speak their minds.

Any interruptions to the current speaker would be done by a simple hand raise. The class put the motion of the class president to a vote an unanimously passed the motion. It was decided that the class would meet at the local hamburger joint at 10 AM on Sunday morning and carpool along with 6 parents who had minivans in order to get the the zoo. The six parents would also serve as chaperones for the groups whose members would be determined on the day itself by drawing lots. The same car pool would be followed on the way home.

After all motions and objections were put to a vote, the meeting adjourned and the class went on to their next class for the day.
