These institutions play a key role in uplifting lives in the community by establishing life-sustaining projects through 3xtension and community service. The research done in institutions of higher education, link the community and these institutions thus contributing directly to the welfare of the community (Catelles 2000, p.98).
Institutions of higher education have well-trained teachers that equip the learners with adequate knowledge, attitudes, skills, and cultures, which will enable the learners to effect the much needed change in the society.
