Article Review Article Review The theory and literature review portrayed in the article was systematically presented. The methodology used was briefly but precisely discussed. A clear presentation of information was accomplished by the authors. The literature review done was relevant to the topic on hand. The paper emphasizes the importance of qualitative research on higher education. The methodology used by the researchers is through the search process. In the search process, various published articles were gathered which delve on the topic of qualitative research synthesis.

Only articles from the Academic Elite databases were included. After uncovering 177 articles, only six articles were shortlisted since these are the only ones which are from higher education. The next step was to review and analyze the articles to evaluate its quality and relevance to the research being conducted. The six articles were then summarized using a standard form. A cross-comparison of the articles was then made to illustrate the common features of the studies. Most of the articles have similarities such as the research questions, the delimitations of the publications used, clearly defined inclusion and exclusion criteria (Major & Savin-Baden, 2010).

Moreover, the synthesis process was described in most of the articles used in the study. The article is not of mixed design. There is no quantitative information presented. It expounded on the qualitative information about qualitative research synthesis. The qualitative part of the article was imparted through the summary of the six articles on qualitative research on higher education. The cross comparison of the data on the articles is largely qualitative. Works CitedMajor, C., & Savin-Baden, M. (2010). Exploring the relevance of qualitative research synthesis to higher education research and practice.
