The research focuses on indicating that the learning process should level up. The research includes surveys that show that the learning process entails maximizing the use of mass media, reduction of class size, reduction of absences, and reduction of class size. Research is a very important tool to enhance the classroom learning process. A. First Article Part 1: Summary of the Article. The article “The Detrimental Effects of Missing School” (Gottfried, 2011) emphasized that the school’s determination on the effect of the students’ missing school lessons on their performance during class tests or exams. The research centered on a large urban school district with special emphasis on high –need schools. Specifically, the study focused on the success of the no child left behind government policy. To succeed, the government introduced the Adequate Yearly Progress program to ensure the decline in the number of uneducated children. The instructional strategy/program AND the research that assessed its effectiveness is based on surveys. The findings indicate that missing school has a direct destructive effect on the teacher’s strive to increase the students’ academic performance. Likewise, the prolonged absences trigger a persistent negative relationship between excessive absences from class lessons to performance. The research focused on the academic performance of elementary school students. The research centered on the focused on setting up drastic school measures to address the decline in the student’s academic performances. Further, the study focused on the relationship between absences and academic performance. First, the study tracked five cohorts of elementary school children for a period of six consecutive years. The researchers focused on a topic that was very timely. The concept of the research is very eye –catching. The readers of the research will surely be amazed by the results of the research. The concept of the research was to aid the teachers and the school administration to revise their current curriculum. The curriculum must be revised in order to accommodate the reality that some students are forced to skip classes. The reasons for the absences are not a priority. What is the priority is to encourage the students to return to the classroom. Likewise, the school administration should use the research results as a guide to increase the quality or gist of each semester’s lessons. The time spent for necessary topics will be reduced to ensure that the students will learn what they need to survive in the world within lesser number of classroom hours. The research design (interview) was very timely. The researchers interviewed the absentee students, their families, and the community to arrive at a solution to the current student absenteeism situation. To implement the strategy in my school, the school will conduct its own surveys of students frequently skipping classes. The reasons will be gathered and used as a basis for implementing an improvement on the current classroom learning process. B. Second Article Part 1: Summary of the Article The article “Educating Supranational Citizens: The incorporation of English Language Education into Curriculum Policies” (Cha, 2011) show that the cross national implementation of English as part of the school’s regular academic offerings has been set into unfolding motion. The instructional strategy/program AND the research that assessed its effectiveness is based on surveys. The study indicated the importance of English as a second language. The study focuses on the importance of learning the rudiments of the English language. The study placed importance in terms of making life easier to bear. The study centered on the process of learning the English language. The study centered on the importance of the English language as aid to communication among countries located on different areas of the planet earth. The research shows that United States was a superpower during the World War 2 era. Thus, the countries located in different parts of the world were forced to learn the English language in order to transact business. In the educational process, the schools include the learning of the English Language as part of its educational programs. In part, the students’ fluency in the English language is a necessary requirement to increase the students’ understanding of the current classroom lessons. Further, the study places importance on the schools’ inclusion of English language as part of the schools’ academic, emotional, and physical development as the student progresses into a well- rounded person. Likewise, the government emphasizes the classroom teaching of English as a second language in compliance with the government’s no child left behind policy (NCLB 2001) as well as the Education Sciences Reform Act (ESRA 2002). Analysis of the concept & research design/methodology, and implementation of the strategy in school/district. The research concept is very timely. The university topic is the training of foreign students on the rudiments of conversational and academic style English. The research will be useful as a basis for improving the learning process. The learning process includes English mastery as a basic requirement to learn the other higher sciences like Engineering, Chemistry, management, Nursing, and the like. The research method used was survey style. Several persons of authority were interviewed. Normally, the respondents are teachers and the community. The findings of the research indicate that more and more schools are incorporating English language learning to immigrants and other persons arriving into the United States from other countries. The teaching of the English language is a good step towards increasing the students’ learning process. Likewise, the school administration should use the research results as a guide to increase the quality or gist of each semester’s English learning topics and time duration. The time spent for English learning topics will be lessened to ensure that the students will learn what they need to learn the other subjects taught in class. The research design (interview) was well done. The researchers interview the respondents who are affected by the learning process. To implement the strategy in my school, the school will conduct its own unique English learning curriculum. The curriculum should take into consideration the culture of the community and the students, themselves. C. Third Article. Part 1: Summary of the Article The article “Staying above the Fray: Framing and Conflict in the Coverage of Education Policy Debates” (Tamir, 2011) shows that mass media plays a pivotal role to creating a stronger desire to interact with other people for different purposes. The instructional strategy/program AND the research that assessed its effectiveness is based on surveys. The New Jersey educational system includes the governor’s consolidation of powers to gain more power to rally the New Jersey educational system to a higher plane. The use of mass media in the teaching process includes the use of the internet as a source of additional information. The additional information will confirm or contradict the current classroom topics discussed. The mass media includes the use of projectors, power point presentation, songs, dances, and other mass communication technologies. The mass media paints diverse pictures of topic discussed in the classroom. Consequently, the teacher must harness the power of mass media ensure higher learning outputs. For example, the teacher presents the week’s news mention during the current events lessons for the day. Another mass media effort focuses on use of music to ensure understanding of material mattes. Here, the guided lessons are discussed with better quality because the teacher’s use of a portable Amplifier is for the sake of increasing the loudness of classroom lessons. The increased voiced increases the students’ lesson absorption process. A student will find it difficult to understand the teacher’s topic being discussed in front of 70 students. In turn, the student learns the lessons at a faster rate compared to the prior situations where the teacher had to slow down the teaching process to accommodate the slow learning students. The researchers delve on a topic that is needed by society. The university topic is the training of foreign students to be masters of their chosen field of expertise. The research on the use of mass media is very important for school teachers and administrators to improve the current learning process. The mass media tools that enhance the learning process will be implemented, based on the results of the of the research surveys. The research will be useful as a basis for improving the current learning process. The findings of the research indicate that more and more schools must use mass media to improve the learning process. This includes the appropriate type and time element in choosing a mass media tool. In addition, the school administration should use the research results as a guide to increase the quality or gist of each semester’s mass media –based learning topics and time duration. The time spent for mass media- based learning will be reduced to ensure that the students will learn what they need to learn the other subjects taught in class. The curriculum should take into consideration the most appropriate mass media tools to enhance the school’s learning process. D. Article Four. Summary of the article. The article “The View from the Lighted Schoolhouse: Conceptualizing Home – School Relations within a Class Size Reduction Reform” (Graue and Shefinski, 2011). The instructional strategy/program AND the research that assessed its effectiveness is based on surveys. The research focuses on the teachers’ class size reduction in order to increase the classroom learning process. The research focused on a group students belonging to the downtrodden. The group of students was classified as belonging to a poor community. The poor community is characterized as having lack of jobs, prevalence of racism, and scarce resources. The research focuses on the school as key to the students’ future escape from the quagmire of poverty. The school system goes out of its normal lines to help the students find jobs that will remove them from their present poverty classification. The research stated that the reduction in classroom size would be fifteen students to one teacher. The initial target of the classroom size reduction study is the K – 3 or kindergarten to grade 3 students. The classroom reduction size will include 500 Wisconsin schools. Further, the program entails the help of the community. Specifically, the parents are tasked to do their important share in improving the classroom learning process of the students. The parents and teachers coordinate to find the best possible solution to keep their poor children interested to return to the classroom everyday of the school year. The parents will coordinate with the teachers, school administrators, and community to ensure the students will continue to study until their teenage years. This is necessary in order for the students to equip themselves with the necessary mental, physical, emotional, and a complete personality to conquer the many difficulty of human life. In turn the research indicates that the government creates laws that will harness the government’s scarce resources to improve the school’s learning process to the point where learning is conducive to challenging learning. Analysis of the concept & research design/methodology, and implementation of the strategy in school/district. The research concept is very appropriate. The researchers focus on a topic that is required by society. The school topic is the training of students by reducing the class size to allowable levels. The reduced size will ensure that the students will have enough time and space to absorb the day’s lessons. The research on the reduction of class size is very important for school teachers and administrators to improve the current learning process. The mass media tools that improve the classroom learning process will be implemented, based on the results of the of the research surveys. The research will be beneficial for its will serve as a basis for improving the current learning process. The findings of the research show that classroom size reduction is beneficial to the classroom learning process. This includes the appropriate number of students for each subject. The research findings indicate that the best classroom size is 15 students to one teacher. In addition, the school administration should use the research results as a guide to increase the quality or gist of each semester’s classroom size –based learning topics and time duration. The time spent teaching 15 students is worth spending for the survey for the 15 students will learn more if they are at this student population level. The research design (interview) was splendidly implemented. In addition, the researchers interviewed the respondents who were affected by the survey process. To implement the strategy in my school, the school will conduct its own unique 15 student classroom program. The 15 student curriculum should take into consideration the most appropriate mass media tools to enhance the school’s learning process. Based on the above discussion, research findings are management’s tools for improving the school’s current learning process. The surveys show that the learning process must be improved. The surveys indicate that the learning process entails maximizing the use of mass media, reduction of class size, reduction of absences, and reduction of class size.
