The problems facing education range from overpopulation in classrooms, minimal supply of text books, poor physical conditions of schools to increased teacher attrition rate. The other major problem facing the education system is lack of parental involvement in their children’s education that has led to poor performance. The suggested solutions to the problems involve combined efforts from the major players in the education system. There should be an introductory foundation class to prepare beginning teachers to the hard task. There should be more parental involvement as the first step of solving these problems. This improves the overall performance of the students as stipulated by Smith. The government should set aside funds to expand schools, hire more qualified teachers, improve the structure of schools to offer better facilities for the students and buy text books. The structure of the speech simply outlines the way the ideas are organized clearly and logically as suggested by Turabian. A speech is divided into three major parts which are the introduction, the body and the conclusion. The first step should be giving the suitable title that is short, catchy and creative.
