The name of the project is Sow2fit fashion designer system. This project will be an online website that will provide the facility regarding online order handling, product selling and potential marketing of the new SOW2FIT fashion designs. The company is located at 13 Belton road London. For this project I have an effective assistance from the Factory’s manager Mark Wallace. Introduction As technology advances the need for more facilities in each aspect of life are augments, like we want to have more easy way of working, shopping, entertainment, etc. We have seen the implementation of computer technology and automation in each and every field of the life. Like our way of living has totally changed. Few years age we have to go form shopping to nearby store. Now we can have all these facilities at home. This all happened due to augment in the computer and internet technology. Now we have more rapid and effective means of the information transmission. Electronic email can transfer our required data with few second to other corner of world. By seeing this automation in activities of our life I have decided to implement a system that will completely automate the business of a fashion designer Company. The old way of doing business was a rigid way regarding the overall business handling. Now we have more better way of business management through the e-commerce. This technology provides us wider access of our targeted customers. The establishment of the new e-commerce technology will agument overall business profit. This project is aimed to enhance the working and processing power of this business. After implementation of this system we will have an easier way of order processing and management. This project will provide the facility to attain higher profits. Analysis of problem The basic motive of this project is to enhance the traditional working style of the SOW2FIT fashion designer company. The old system was traditional paper based. The information searching / retrieval and editing was a very complex task. One main problem is the inter-departmental communication. We have lot of people (workers) that are working in diverse department. Their collaboration result in better production and management of the task of designing and production. Through the old working system it became really hard to manage the upcoming high demand of production. Here the information regarding the order amount, color, design of the kind of cloth etc is noted down on an order form which also has details of payment on it. This is also sent to the accounts department will note down payment details and it will also be sent to the designer. This type of information sharing in the present environment is really a tough task. The information gathering process involves the detailed analysis of the old working system. This analysis involves interview to organizational personals and workers. This analysis provides a better way to design our new system. Solutions to the problem The main solution to this problem is to deploy an automatic system that can manage all the above process in a better way. This system will be a web based information system. The basic aim and purpose of this system is to manage the main task of the business, we will develop an automatic system regarding the data storage, searching and editing. This system will also provide the online access to a broad customer space. Through this system we will be able to provide a web based platform regarding the information transfer and management. This web based system will also serve as a marketing platform for the advertisement of the new fashions developed by our company. The implementation of the e-commerce technology will augment our potential to reach our target customer in a better way. Now we have expected growth in the overall orders. The old way of order processing way narrow and requires extensive effort regarding overall management of the fashion products and orders. Now this system will automatically mange the demand and product facility that provides us a balance on overall production. This new system will provide a database system for the administration system team to store customer details and would be able to print out account reports of each customer, make queries and search for a particular customer record. Deliverables New system implementation will involve the following list of deliverables; Working website Data bases system Help Manual Working report Quality measure reports Business Objectives and Success Criteria As a project manager of this project I am responsible to plan and manage the project the Online SOW2FIT fashion designer system. The main objective of this project is to generate profit by using innovative technology, and gain a competitive edge by throwing state of the art technology in the customary way of doing such type of business. This project will be completed when it will be able to manage and handle the online transaction, sales and purchase deals through an error free environment. Scope This project will facilitate the people regarding their daily online fashion related search and shopping. This system will automate the process of the fashion items shopping. We have already the pre-established stores, but those are dealing in a limited way. This idea is to develop a system that can provide the online fashion related search and shopping facility to customer’s door step. This project will add value to the pre-established fashion stores. This system can be used with already manually working store. This project will add value to the already working fashion stores. This project is aimed to enhance the fashion stores access to long distant customers. This project will enhance the marketplace and provide them a better competitive edge. Service Description Here I have established main services description of this system: Fashion search Online Order management Total accounts administrations Customer data bases management Business information handling Monthly report Customer shopping receipt generation Inter-departmental communication Online Marketing faculty Criteria for evaluation of solution For enhanced project management and evaluation I have developed a quality assurance plan and a risk register, both tools and techniques will provide better handling and management of the project development and execution. The project quality plan will be elaborated in the next section and I have placed the risk register in the Appendix A. Implementation of the solution In this section I will present the main project implementation plan. I will define the WBS (work break down structure) for the main activities definition and working. Then we will distribute the main system development tasks among the responsible personals for the effective system implementation. Work Breakdown Schedule (WBS) In this section I will present the Work Breakdown Schedule (WBS) for all the activities that we are going to implement for the construction of this project. Responsibility Matrix [7] -Task Responsibility Matrix Now I will present the task responsibility matrix for the overall project activities. Here I will present the main team members name and their responsibilities regarding the project activities. I have accessed these activities from the WBS. Simple interface [2]: The system should have a simple interface the can be easily accessed. The interface should not contain any complex features and data that can make the user feel distract. It will also need to consider the colour schema of the website pages and links. We have to choose colours are simple and provide a feel of lightness. The font is also a main consideration of this interface. We have to choose the font that is easy to read and work. The order processing and shipment should be easy to manage on Famazon.com [7]. Adoptability: The system should be adoptable both inside and outside the SOW2FIT fashion system, because previously this organization is working without any system. Inside the organization workers feel easy to mange and handling the online transaction and tasks. The adoptability aspect of system in scenario of outside provides us guild line to make the system so easier that outside user feel easier to use it. This transform to new system should be easy to manage and handle. In other words the SOW2FIT fashion Ltd. employees have to feel more ease; while working with this new system and customer should not face any trouble regarding the usage of the SOW2FIT fashion website. The programming needs to be efficient in the website. Then I will also concentrate on the qualities of the project testing. If I will be able to test the project in an effective way then the overall project turn out to be error free and easy to implement. Conclusion In this project report I have presented a detailed analysis of the system development tasks. This report has provided a deep insight into to overall system development and analysis. I have outlined the main system needs and phases of the development. SOW2FIT Fashion Designer Company will be able to enhance its working power of accessing more online customers thorough this system implementation. I hope that this report will provide a better understanding of the system development and management.
