The role of experts in imparting knowledge and instructing research has undergone much debate, and a substantial degree of evolution. However, there is a constant friction present between the traditional set up of teaching involving the role of experts as authorities (Tynjala, 1999), and the postmodern (Galt, 2008) concept of constructivism (Murphy, 1997).
