Mr. Rhodes: (Taking ivy hands) Of course Sunshine. Come here. (He takes her up in his arms and just as he about to head to the bedroom upstairs, Mrs. Rhodes gets into the house looking very tired. The moment she sees Mr. Rhodes her eyes flares in anger)Mrs. Rhodes: What are you doing here? Get away from my daughter. (Mr. Rhodes is in shock as he slowly puts his daughter down. Ivy runs upstairs crying).Mr. Rhodes (Looking at missing Rhodes in dismay) what is wrong with you? I only came here because my daughter called me.

What were you thinking leaving her all alone in the house?Mrs. Rhodes: I did not have enough money for a babysitter. My daughter is doing well. We don’t need you.Mr. Rhodes: (Looking angry and walking towards Mrs. Rhodes): You mean my daughter has been staying at home alone? It is obvious that you are not in a position to take care of her. I am taking custody of the baby.Mrs. Rhodes (looking at Mr. Rhodes pleadingly): You cannot do that to me, please. She is the only one that I have. I have a plan and you should have known better before you left us.Mr. Rhodes: (Pacing around the room and looking agitated) you are the one who filed the divorce not me.Mrs. Rhodes: Then leave us aloneMr.

Rhodes: (takes a long pause and then looks at Mrs. Rhodes straight in the eyes). What you need to know is that she is my daughter too. I love her and want the best for her. Could you at least let me pay the babysitter before the divorce is finalized?Mrs. Rhodes: I am sorry sir but we do not need your money. If you think you can buy us the way you have been buying other women.Mr. Rhodes: (now looking very angry): listen to me woman, I have been very patient with you but you keep testing my patience.

You don’t even deserve the custody of the child.Mrs. Rhodes: Leave my house (As she opens the door).Mr. Rhodes: (walks across the room to the door where he pauses). See you in court madam. You have just started a war ( he then leaves and slams the door behind him). Lights fade out
