For some reason, he liked to single me out in front of everybody if ever he picked up that I was unsure about something. He never seemed to act the same way towards any other student, only I was the one to suffer from his wrath. At least I could console myself with the fact that I only had his class for the first hour and then I would move onto my favorite subject and teacher: U.S. History and Miss Rhodes. As soon as I walked into the class I could tell something was up. I had no idea was Mr.

Brown was writing on the whiteboard, and I knew that this was a sign that he would call on me imminently. Sure enough, after only a couple of minutes, I had to stand in front of everyone and explain the latest concept that we were learning. I managed to fudge my way through it while trying to sound as intelligent as possible.
