Should nuclear power processing be stopped? Proposal This research paper explores a technical communication that is prepared for several audiences. The nuclear power processing sector is one of the technical complex industries whose operational events have serious effects on nature. However, the consequences of these events (if they occur) they are potentially significant. Communicating within nuclear processing industry involves several groups of audiences. Evaluation of the consequences of the operational events of nuclear power processing and communicating these effects to the affected parties is in most cases challenging for the technical communicators. Audience is considered and this includes considering invoked audience, multiple audience, the public, and the addressed audience. Since the discovery of nuclear power production in Japan, nuclear power has been relied on as the major source of energy in more than forty nations in the world. This resource of natural materials is considered as the safest source of energy for almost all natural resources (Schrope 183). This is because nuclear power has the ability to provide more heat and electricity compared to other sources of energy. Unfortunately, the occurrence of tsunami and earthquakes turned some of Japan parts into muddy and contaminated environment. In addition the conditions of many residential areas such as Tohoku city become worse due to the spewed radioactive radiations. According to many people, these events should be considered as lesson that advancement of technology cannot prevent occurrence of natural disasters in countries. This research paper concludes that nuclear power production should be stopped in order to some of its consequences. In conclusion, it would not be wise to stop nuclear energy production due to the increased demand of energy that is further going to increase in future.The aims for many countries to continue with nuclear power production are valid and strong. Greenpeace has not yet come up with strong arguments that can compete with these aims.There is no doubt that, the problems mentioned by Greenpeace would not occur if the governments promise safe productions methods and generation, producers ensure that there are no long and short term humanity and environmental hazards, and that the citizen will conserve the energy for future generations. Report Introduction Nuclear energy production was derived from the process of translation which occurred between smaller atoms and irons. This energy production was proved through the use of Einstein’s formula (E=MC2) whereby M represents mass and C represents the light’s speed. In the year 1940, this form of energy was discovered by a group of researchers and later accredited that the energy had a potentiality of being used as weapon(Taylor 297). Later on, in the year 1960, researchers from Japan conducted several studies and the results of these studies were amusing because the newly founded for of energy source could be used in engines that people could run for almost a year before refueling again(Schrope 199). This resulted in establishment of nuclear power thus influencing the government of Japan to a lot of cash trying to fund atomic scientists who took part in creating the current commercial power plants in the country. For the government of Japan, it was crucial to continue with the establishment of nuclear power. Since the establishment of such power sources, the residents of Japan have been using this form of energy even today and more than fifty reactors have been built to generate more energy in the country (Rhodes 200). The form of power represents thirty percent of the total energy used in Japan and researchers estimate that this percentage will increase in four years to come. There is high demand of nuclear power from neighboring countries, which lead to increase of high demand and creation of new reactors. The Ministry of Trade and Industry of Japan currently reported that, sixty percent of nations, which use this form of energy, import it from Japan. According to Nuclear and Safety Agency of Japan, citizens should have less worries about this energy since thorough inspection is always conducted to ensure that the nuclear plants does not cause natural disasters. Warning alarms have been released to be used in case of any damage that may result in a disaster (Taylor 309). On top of this, the government also declares that there are continuous researches to find ways of reducing the cost of the fuel during the last years. This will highly benefit the fuel users’ especially big manufacturers and companies. However, a large number of people have similar opinions on whether or not to stop nuclear power production. Due to the increased population of people in the world as well advancement of living standards, the demand of energy is increasing. Similar to the Government of Japan, many countries are currently working towards implementation of nuclear power plants as alternative sources of energy(Schrope 204). According to reports from different countries, most governments are looking forward to implement nuclear power plants in order to ensure that there is sufficient energy supply in their countries. Several researchers have being carried out to determine the most appropriate solution to power shortage in many countries and the solution is implementation of nuclear power plants. Besides this, most governments have started to realize the benefits of implementing nuclear power plants since this source of electricity energy is renewable(Rhodes 230). This is because most countries for the last years have been using oil and gas as the major sources of energy. Using oil brings some security issues in the country for a number of reasons. The use of nuclear energy would lead to reduction of oil demands in many countries. In addition, greenhouse gas emission is lowest when using nuclear power energy than using oil. Occasionally, the usage of this renewable energy will result in reduction of air pollution in the world. Through implementation of this energy especially in countries which have high rate of air pollution such as Malaysia, there is hope that this high rate of greenhouse gas emission will lower since nuclear energy does not release smoke. While many governments support the usage of nuclear power and its continued production, there is some opposition from Greenpeace. Greenpeace state that continued production of nuclear power results in risking both humanity and the environment we live in and this is unacceptable. They assert that nuclear energy emits no greenhouse gases, does not result in climate change or cause other related natural disasters. However, their worries are that, nuclear power production can result in Chernobyl-scale accidents in every year. According to report released by the Greenpeace group, the implementation of nuclear plants led to occurrence of the tsunami in Japan and that was one of the biggest criminal acts ever committed in this world(Schrope 223). Although the country has been investing a lot in manufacture of high speed trains that could not only ease transportation but also improve the country’s economy, this cannot hinder occurrence of natural disasters in the country. The Greenpeace has also counted Japan as the leading country with many nuclear power plants whereby these plants are dangerous tools which cause disasters, which lead to lose of countless lives(Rhodes 242). However, the views of Japanese people on the benefits they gain from nuclear power conflict with the opinion of Greenpeace. According to the government of Japan, the country’s economy cannot collapse due to occurrence of natural tragedies caused by nuclear plants. The government believes that the economy of the country will tremendously recover. Japan is highly respected by many countries due to its rise because of innovation of advanced technology system and production of well educated youths. Apart from this, the government of japan argues against the opinion of Greenpeace claiming that this advanced technologies helped the country a lot to recover from the loss of tsunami tragedy. Conclusion In conclusion, it would not be wise to stop nuclear energy production due to the increased demand of energy that is further going to increase in future. The aims for many countries to continue with nuclear power production are valid and strong. Greenpeace has not yet come up with strong arguments that can compete with these aims. Sincerely speaking, nuclear power has many advantages compared to other sources of energy and is currently one of the most demanded sources of energy in many countries. There is no doubt that, the problems mentioned by Greenpeace would not occur if the governments promise safe productions methods and generation, producers ensure that there are no long and short term humanity and environmental hazards, and that the citizen will conserve the energy for future generations.
