We have undertaken this study with the purpose of evaluating how Transnational Corporations co-operate with host governments, or if indeed they do so. Our research has shown that in some cases there is an understanding between the TNC and the national government, with many of the TNC’s inputting effort and funds into local (by that we mean a single nation) issues and projects.
Knowing the facts before the results can be compiled can be a distinct advantage for a PR campaign and McDonald’s can (if they feel confident enough) recommend that a third party should perform the same experiment as which was shown in Super Size Me but adding factors like healthy choices from the menu and including regular exercise as a part of the meals (MacArthur, 2006).
