I also consider this to be my best alternative career given that establishing an agricultural consulting firm will not need a lot of capital and hence I will be able to establish it without requiring external financing. Furthermore, being an agricultural consultant would be my best alternative career given that I still do it in my current employment and also on a part-time basis for free for a few local farmers who are my friends.

Potential sources of dissatisfaction

I feel dissatisfied with my current career owing to the constant wrangles at the workplace with fellow employees sometimes sabotaging my work. Furthermore, I feel that my current career does not give me the opportunity to do what I would like to be doing. In other words, my main aim of studying agriculture in the university was so that I may be more involved in providing agricultural solutions and I feel I would be in a better position to do this as an agricultural consultant rather than a marketer.

Potential sources of satisfaction

Being an agricultural consultant will give me a lot of satisfaction. This is since it will give me an opportunity to do what I like doing by interacting with farmers, knowing their problems and providing cost-effective solutions to their problems at a fee. It would satisfy me to see farmers prosper as a result of my consultancy. In addition, becoming an agricultural consultant rather than an employee would give me an opportunity to become my own boss with the independence I have always desired but which is lacking in my five years of employment.
