Most multilateral economic development agencies such as Canadian International Development Agency are rated according to its performance regarding its development in the society. Most agencies are based on its funding on international assistance committees The Audit act requires multilateral institutions to provide effective reporting on official development spending. Canadian International Development Agency is among multilateral organizations that were established by Canadian Government to carry out development activities. This agency is important to many people who are living under poverty globally. Canadian International Development Agency plays an important role in enhancing the prosperity of the people of Canada and abroad. The government of Canada reported that more than $5.2 billion were spent on Official development assistance activities. Half of this amount was spent by multilateral economic agencies which includes Canadian International Development Agencies. According to audit carried out, this agency has links from the departments that are responsible for spending money through multilateral agencies. Such departments supervise how multilateral organizations perform and how they access adequate information to provide effective reports. Canadian International Development Agency played an important role in the Paris Declaration on Aid Effectiveness (2005). However, Official Development Assistance encourages multilateral agencies to focus their efforts in poverty reduction. Canadian International Development Agency has access poverty in many parts of the world including Paris. This organization has help to reduce poverty levels through development of income generating projects that are aimed at improving the living standards of the poor people in the society. Canadian International Development Agency channels funds to various organized groups to enable them access capital to carry out development. About ninety three percent of the spending by federal government of Canada is allocated from international assistance envelope. Canadian international Development Agency takes a lion share in terms of performance. This agency has fully complied with rules and standards that Human Rights Organization requires multilateral organizations to achieve. Every financial year, Canadian International Development Agency publishes a report that regards Official Development Assistance activities. According to 5th annual report provided by this agency, “Development results for 2011-2012” shows how this agency helped a woman in Tamale, Ghana, to collect rice from his fields after experiencing short rainfall that led into droughts. Most parts in Africa experiences drought and famine which have increased the level of poverty in such nations. However, the voice of the suffering people is being made by multilateral organizations. Through funding by the government, Canadian International Development Agency has risen above to be among the best multilateral organizations in Canada. It has been able to supply food, clothing and shelter to the suffering nations with an aim of establishing their dignity. This agency has supplied food to many parts of Ghana including Tamale which had been affected by drought and famine. They have empowered young youths and women with skills that have enabled them generate enough food to feed their families. Such skills have enabled them to farm cash crops that generate enough income to improve their lives. However, empowering people’s knowledge may be difficult without establishment of educational centers. Canadian International Development Agency through have extended their activities towards building of learning institutions in developing nations to enhance training activities. Such institutions offer good training on how to improve living standards by carrying out development activities such as farming. Empowered countries are able to attain self-sufficiency by improving investment opportunities and job employment. Canadian International Development Agency aims at developing young nations towards gaining higher living standards of its people. Providing assistance activities to developing nations is not an easy task, according to directors to this organization, they should be accountable for every work they carry through regular provision of results on Official Development Assistance. They provide financial statements that show how they have spent its expenditures in various programs. Provision of credit to women and youth in young nations is one way of creating a better chance towards developing it. Canadian International Development Agency ensures proper provision of credit to its target to empower them. Business entities require capital and management techniques in order to be successful. The economy of developing nations can be improved through increased levels of investment. The influence of this organization has been felt in most parts of Africa. Ghana is among the most prominent African nations. However, with its short rainfall patterns, some parts experiences drought and famine. This Scenario is common to many parts of Africa. Given the poverty challenges that are experienced among many nations, the amount of financial resources that are directed towards poverty reduction depends on the success of multilateral organizations. CIDA has been conducting a detail analysis on human rights standards before embarking on development activities in different parts of the word. It prepares due diligence any type of assessment that is required by government regulatorybodies. Its assessment s is updated often in form of formal investments such as project funding decision. CIDA provides as sample of all core organizations that provides it’s funding to. Furthermore, it provides detailed analysis on how the expenditures were met. According to CIDA 2012-2013 development report, an effective development program was implemented being the fore front agenda of this agency. According to this report, CIDA focused on about 80% of bilateral assistance to over twenty countries. By March 2013, CIDA had managed to distribute over 99% of their funds o their target locations. During this season, this agency focused on empowering the youth with development projects that would enable them earn a living. CIDA also focused on capping food insecurity in most parts especially African nations. The agency strives towards inventing new ways of developing maternal and new born facilities. It established maternal homes in many parts off the world with an aim of improving the health care of the women during delivery. CIDA have partnered with other parties to ensure that vaccines are improved. It ensures women and children are protected against Pneumonia by supporting other government agencies that fight such diseases. CIDA and the department of have partnered to form a big organization that will minimize resources thus improving its ability to cap poverty levels in many nations. The 2012-2013 performance report provides an overview on how this organization has achieved in the past years. Both parties will work together towards providing humanitarian crisis during emergency situations. CIDA has maximized its resources to ensure that its objectives are met and the development objective of Canadian government to developing nations is achieved. The government of Canada through multilateral agencies understands that empowering od developing nations through development activities does not only improve the living standards of the people but also improve the economic conditions of such nations. Improved economy attracts investment from foreigners and able local residents to identify new investment opportunities. More investments imply that the per capita income is increases as well as the GDP of developing nations. An activity conducted by this agency satisfies the conditions that are required by official development assistance. To meet its objectives, CIDA collaborate with public and private partners to provide effective services to target nations. CIDA focused on reducing food insecurity by empowering citizens of target nations with agricultural skills to enable them to produce food to feed them, empowering the youths on development activities that can generate effective income to sustain their living and to empower the level of economy within the target nations.
