The Australian laws require everyone to register a business name with the registrar of companies before starting the business. The company needs to obtain a unique name so that it can be registered (Roberts, 2013). It is also a requirement that the planned name for your venture has no duplicate. So before even thinking of applying for a license, it is essential to secure approval for your business name and have it registered. The next legal requirement under the Australian laws is to make sure that the instructors have ample experience. They must be equipped with proper documentation. Each instructor must have a valid driving instructor’s certificate. Furthermore, the Australians laws dictate that the instructors must have logged at least 1,000 hours of driving experience – this requires the proper documents too, and of course, he must have a valid driver’s license. The cost involved in setting up this kind of business varies depending on various factors. The location of the business, the nature of the business such as Classes offered for the trainees and the government taxes. Finally, the charges offered by the business will depend on the training of the trainees. Trainees might have different needs, and this affects the cost they incur for it. It is vital for every business to comply with these laws for smooth business operations. The human resource manager should adopt an effective strategy of motivating the employees. According to Fredrick Fayol, the success of any organization or business depends on the employees. If the employees are motivated in terms of recognition, promotion and salaries, they will greatly improve on the services they deliver. Organizational structure is another essential element in a business. It acts as a framework in which departments or group get organized. It also acts as the underpinning tool which keep the coalition functioning (Smith, 2013). Many management scientists believe that organizational structures give employees clear guidelines on how to proceed with the company’s task, means of maintaining order and resolving disagreement that can arise between departments. Effective organizational structures give or binds employees together. Through organizational structures, employees are able to group themselves with a common goal to be achieved. It is always hard to determine the best structure of any business. However, it is beneficial to ensure this the kind structure adopted contain the following elements. These elements include: A distribution of work Some kind of governance The rules by which the organization operates The first element of the best structure to be adopted is the distribution of work. Depending on the type or nature of the business, the structure can be formal or informal, enduring or temporary, but all profit making business must embrace division of labor. Organizations tend to change their structure as they progress through and enhance their processes and manpower. It is possible for a profit making organization to start at a pre-bureaucratic company and end up as a matrix organization. 4.4 Insurance and Security Issues Business faces various risks on a daily basis regardless of the size or nature of the business. Businesses should insure their business as ways of managing the risk they are exposed to their business. In fact for small business, it is even dangerous because accidents can lead to the closure of the business (Tricker, 2013). It is, therefore, essential to have insurance as a way of reducing business risk and allowing future success. There are various types of business insurances in Australia. These broad categories are essential for maximum protection of the small business. These categories involve: Liability insurance Asset insurance Income insurance Liabilities insurance Worker’s compensation Employers should cover his employees by providing insurance against sicknesses and accidents. In Austria, the approved insurer is the compensation scheme and the workers rehabilitation. This scheme is very beneficial because it ensures that the workers access the professional healthcare, compensation in case of injuries and other financial supports (Smithson at al, 2013). The Australian insurance laws contain Workers Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 1986. Insurance is essential for the continuation of the business in case of an accident. It is vital for the employers to comply with insurance so that they can be sure about the future of the company.
