This helps in delivering world-class programs on-time and on-budget. Supply chain management refers to the outlook of finances, data and resources as they shift from the supplier to the consumer. It entails harmonization and addition of these flows in and between companies. In relation to the Rewards car wash, the major objective of a successful supply chain management system is reducing inventory assuming that all products are available when required. The department of supply chain management at rewards car wash is responsible for customer system’s supply chain management scale. Its main responsibility is to represent the entire Car wash System in system-wide cost savings, receipt and distribution of goods and services, procurement and product standardization. The hospital’s mission places each customer by providing quality healthcare. The Supply Chain Management Systems Team is responsible for daily operations, system reporting and data information strategies, end-user training, PeopleSoft, using Enterprise Resource Planning System and system access. 1.2 Concepts and Techniques Used in the Business The Interior Concepts provides high quality and reasonably priced services to customers.  In conducting our business there is an uncompromised level of integrity while demonstrating respect to our customers and to each other.  Reward Car wash provides an excellent customer service by meeting the commitments.  Also, there is the use of technology and automation in running all aspects of the business and achieving the year-to-year sales growth and profitability. There is also an open system where an interaction with immediate environment occurs. It therefore has inputs and outputs. Open system adapt to environmental change. An example of open system is a company management allowing for an opening for environmental factors to affect its operation. This is beneficial to contemporary management as it allows for the organization to remain relevant in the ever changing environment thus changes with trends. Another concept that is used in the business is the Effective Control Systems. This are essentially developed control systems that are customized to meet the business goals. Effective control system are focused, easily integrated the organization and suitable by employees. An example of an effective control system is the management of an organization adopting a system that is likeable to employees and customers. This is important because it ensures cooperation between employees and management in an organization. A suitable competitive advantage is also a concept that is utilized in this business. It is a unique concept because it creates competitive radar. It allows the business to achieve a constant result. This is important to an organization as it enables it to management to maintain its position above competition. The business should also have a strategy for a systematic analysis to allow a view of different factors related to competitors and customers. This will ensure a stability and formulation of plans and policies of the business. It is paramount to involve the people in proximity. If the project could affect the surrounding people, it is advisable to seek the support of the community. Members of the community could offer cheap labor as well as the basics tips. A typical example is when the locals have an upper hand in terms of raw materials and climate of the place. More so, a nod to the project by locals guarantees enough security. The business needs a wide-ranging total rewards strategy because it needs to be viable on the market with recruiting the best personnel. The prospect from employees is performing at high values and aiming to surpass customer potential. A viable and an attractive total rewards system will not be proficient if employees and prospective customer don’t know what is in it. This makes communication of the system just as significant as the system itself. 2.0 Reflection on Scope of Statement, WBS and Network Diagram Based on the international business analysis, a project an activity that is often temporary whose target is to achieve a goal or develop a new product or service. The scope statement thus defines the work that need to be completed by the end the project or basically the goal of the project. Project statement is an important tool in the outlining of the projects deliverables; identity the assumptions and the constraints and the key factors of success (Chan, et al., 2015). If a scope statement is clearly developed then it clearly defines the boundaries of the entire project. A scope has an effect on two key factors of a project; time and resources and triple constraint (Rowe, 2015). If the stakeholders fail to agree on the scope then these two factors will keep on changing throughout the project. It is important to develop an effective scope so as to avoid making changes or expanding the project beyond the targeted period. The development of the business scope underwent the following stages, scope definition, baseline the scope, verification of the scope, scope management, and change control. The project manager will always use the project scope statement as the formal document for a running the project. Such a statement will contain key components that include the scope statement, the boundaries, and assumptions, the constraints and the criteria for user acceptance. Project scope description gives a brief description of the project summary while the project deliverables are specific results that are to be achieved by the project (Kendrick, 2015). The user accepted criteria always list the important factors that determine the project’s success. The project boundaries identify the deliverables that are within the project's scope and those that are out. Project constraints list the limitations that are categorized by the time frames, the results, physical and technical constraints and the resources available. In the development of projects scope the constraints, the list of deliverables, and assumptions come as a result of brainstorming. It is important thus to use a mind map to list all the possible deliverables and refine them to provide the flexibility of the scope. 2.1 Steps in the Development of the Project Scope Statement The first step involves the definition of the scope. In this level, the stakeholders were consulted. The stakeholders, in this case, included the team members, the business faculty, and cancer research UK. With the team members, we developed the project and the goals of the project; the next step was to present the proposal to the faculty to approve it. After the approval of the proposal, we developed the scope management strategy. With the development of the business scope management strategy, the group resorted to the development of the scope management strategy. It is important to go back to the stakeholders when the project deliverables have been achieved. Stakeholders would satisfy if the deliverables meet the competitiveness and quality. In this project, one of the deliverables was to raise money for the cancer center and make profits from the projects. After the fast activity, the team made the calculations on the f that had been collected and the report presented to the faculty to assess if the first deliverable were achieved. The last step in the development of the scope was the scope management and control. The group was keen to maintain the initial targets of the project and keep them running through the project. If an additional requirement or modification is made to a project it’s most likely that the project might take longer or even cost more. Reducing a component of the project might ensure that the project within the set time and even finish earlier than the schedule. Such a change has a positive effect on the project (Sokowski, 2015). In a project, it is always important to control the positive and the negative changes so that to make the scope of management effective. 2.2 Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) WBS is the breakdown of the project into phases, work packages, and deliverables. The WBS is designed in the form of a tree structure that explains and shows the subdivision of efforts that are to be achieved. WBS is the chart that contains the critical elements called the tasks of a project. The elements are clearly illustrated to show the relationship between the elements and also the project as a whole (Siami-Irdemoosa, et al., 2015). Using a graphical representation of the WBS makes it possible for the project manager to predict the outcomes basing on the various scenarios that ensure that optimal decisions are made. In developing a WBS, it is important to develop the key objective and to list the deliverables. The WBS was designed as a tree where the trunk is on the top and the branches below. The project’s WBS has developed the form of a tree trunk where the top was the truck which included the most important aspects and the other minor aspect formed the branches. The WBS took the form of a flowchart where the element connected in a logical form. Such an approach reduces redundancy and no critical elements are left out. In the chart, the elements at the bottom are those that are easily understood and can be completed without much complication. Integration of aspects is shown using lines. In this case, when one aspect is changed then it can affect another aspect. The flowchart opted to use lines with arose to show Couse and effect, time or progression (Sequeira, & Lopes, 2015). In developing the project scope statement and the WBS, the following aspects provided the guideline; the level of work details, deliverables, need for updates and organizational hierarchy. In the development of a project people make various pitfalls but with the key aspect followed such mistakes can be avoided. The first thing to take account of is that your work packages should not be too detailed. This is to avoid the manager being tempted to micromanage the project. As well a wok package that is too broad might make it impossible for the project to be completed. Secondly the group was keen not to take the WBS as the project plan or plan. The WBS is not developed in any format or sequence; it is simply a visual breakdown of the deliverables. Thirdly, it was important to take to account the fact that a WBS update requires a change control. Before making any change to the plan, a formal request must be made and approved by the stakeholders. Lastly, it was important to know that a WBS is not an organizational hierarchy. Despite the similarity in the appearance, these two documents are different in function. While the hierarchy of the organization details the command chain and the communication lines, WBS is restricted to the project and shows the deliverables and the scope of the particular project. Taking into account, all this aspect helped in shaping the scope statement and the WBS flowchart. The success of any projects depends on the preparations that are made toward the projects. Proper preparation requires the development of the scope statement. The scope statement will give the manager the direction on the activities to be done at a particular level. A good scope statement will ensure that the project stays on the truck and that the required goals are achieved. Though at times the scope might fail to achieve the targeted goals it is always important to have this document before starting a project. Apart from the scope state the work breakdown structure is also very important. The WBS defines how deliverable should be achieved and also guides if particular deliverable has been achieved it is then important then that a project development team follows aspect when developing a project. 3.0 Reflection on MS Project The MS software has been essential in product estimators, indicators and a quality estimator tool. The system was used to express it’s quantitatively as a defined characteristic through the MS software mixed attributes (Commercial & Government Offerings, 2013). This is justifiable in the car wash logbook which indicates the number of cars that were washed by the reward car wash organization. The tool is also essential in project management decision making (Retik, 2012). This was applicable during the creation of finance appraisal form during the budgeting allocation process which instituted members working hours, prices range as per service to be offered, transportation & fuel consumption. The MS software was helpful in monitoring the progress of the project being undertaken, assistance in triggering corrective action in time and detecting potential malfunctioning within the project (Risk Management Task Group, 2012) The MS was very useful while undertaking the project activities. Its importance was realized during the creation of quality management. This has to do with set of activities planned at the beginning of our project that was intended to help us to achieve the quality of this project. The quality work standards led towards customer satisfaction within our service delivery. The tool was essential in report generation as per its functionality (Titterington, 2014). The information generated focused on reports about cost spent, the used resources, progress and the quality of the services involving stakeholders. Additionally, such reports help the involved stakeholders to take proactive measures towards the project to improve of the project deliverables (Catarino, 2013). Scheduling based on allocation of work against time consideration resources was realized through the MS software. As such, the schedule of working routine based on the availability of customers basically on Fridays as per the detail of our project execution. Scheduling is an essential tool expected to be implemented in a project till the project is completed since it determines the project outcomes (Cemerkova, 2012). The individual task are required to see the project to completion inclusive of the resources like materials & equipment needed to complete the task and project at whole. MS software was essential in tracking the project progress through monitoring the scope-time-cost baseline in our project. A series of paths undertaken dictated the presenting of the business on 8th of December. It was also important in determining the project scope on the type of cars to be washed which included washing saloon, truck and jeep 4x4, the number of cars to be washed thus 6 six in average for every week. The scope of cleaning focused on outside washing, inside and outside washing & cleaning, tire polish and windscreen. MS contributed towards resource assignments as man-machine-material aspect. The assigning of the resources were based on materials, washing, transportation, storage, travelling and training as per our rewards car wash program. The assigning was essential especially in budgeting process whereby funds allocation were selected on specific task on job daily duties. The approach contributed to the realization that by assigning resources leads to the creation of relationship between the specific tasks and the resources and the material resources (Dang, 2012) 4.0 Reflection on Risk Analysis The reward car wash project risks were identified through reviewing the task list and the schedule plan. The approach depends with some of the tasks the members are not expertise with such as car waxing. As such, it was expected that the duration and the cost estimates for the task were more likely to be inaccurate hence we had to prevent such opportunity from arising by offering training services to our team members. It can be justified by the group photo as per the individual working inhibited the possibility of working with several predecessors. The essence of assigning group member per car was to avoid the risk of car wash delays. It is known that assigning tasks with more predecessors pose the work likelihood of a delay (Microsoft, 2014). Additionally, having limited number of stakeholders proved challenging at the start of the business. The risk is that if any of the stakeholders pull out, then the task and schedule assigned will be affected (Overseas Development Administration, 2012) Brainstorming is an element to identify the project risk of rewards car wash. Analyzing the project plan didn’t fully prove apparent in justifying the project risk (Tworek, 2012). Brainstorming within the group members uncovers some of the benefiting approaches towards realization of making profit with only £20 budget for starting the business. It is also advisable to brainstorm with experienced car cleaners for further information because the cleaners might be informants towards project risk management (Resources, Budgeting & Risk, 2012). The risk category involving the customers risk was well tackled. This had to do with the customers shopping at Morrison’s satisfaction towards the services offered by reward car wash cleaners, the customer’s reviews expected and the customer acceptance towards the services. This was achieved through good services with affordable prices, worth each penny spent on the service rendered and quality finishing with a nice price. It can therefore be justified that managing customer risks in any project contributes towards project successfulness (Rawi, 2014) Tracking approach assisted in project risk identification. This was done through paper and the applicability of the spreadsheets. As such, it was easier to track issues and risks while generating the risk logs. With any arising of the project risks, the team members were already provided with visibility on the project risk as per the MS software functionality (Cobalt, 2014) Risk register was recommended by the team members to identify risk opportunities. The register is recommended since it offers a simple matrix that lists down the possibility of the potential risks, its probability of occurring, and its impact towards the project (Rajman, 2014). The group identified that the stakeholder register was very important in the our project because the information pertaining the register solicits the project input for identifying the risk since it provides the assurance that the key stakeholders participate in the process (Newton, 2015). After identifying the possible risks, the effective and efficient management were applied hence it led to the realization of the project completion phase with profits collected (Association for Project Management, 2015). 5.0 Revenue of Business Outcomes Looking back from the idea generation, formulation and implementation, the project is proved to be beneficial. The aim of the reward car wash has impacted on many people including the members of the group behind the project. The project has been fully supported by donations from another related project known as “sebs car wash” and the members behind the project as the set budget of £ 20 has not been used. The members have always dedicated most of their time on the ensuring the project succeeded as planned. The donors and other stakeholders also played a very important role in financing our project as they were our financial back up. The members provide their services to the project for 16 hours in five working days. This dedication ensured the success of the project. Each member’s contribution can be seen to have positive high outcome to the business. We always had a positive attitude towards the project. Though many people discouraged as during the process of piloting the project to the market as they saw little profit from the project which was against our expectations, as members we used their criticism of the project in a strong way to improve on what we intended to do. All through the implementation of this project, we have learnt to always talk to people who optimistic and always ready to help in terms of both finance and advice. The services of the project charge between £5-15 on car washing. This made us to realize a total amount of £235 according to the projects records which in turn yielded a profit margin of £188 which is more beyond what we as members expected to achieve at the end of the project. This success can be attributed to the main aim of the project of raising revenue for the cancer research activity in UK. As a project designer, our project succeeded as we incurred very little transport and fuel expenses. The project maintained a sales day book to account for the services being provided. This encouraged accountability and provision of quality services to our esteemed customers throughout the project period. The customers themselves were encouraging as they never complained about the price of providing the services. Most of the customers paid more than our set price as they had a desire to contribute to our aim of donating the proceeds to cancer research project.
