Contextually, it is important that business units use their resources effectively in order to ascertain positive results. In this regard the role of leaders is deemed to be quite vital as they are ultimately responsible for steering other team member towards showing their utmost dedication in their wok which will certainly benefit the overall business. However, it will be crucial to mention that the aspect of leadership is not only important in the domain of any particular business but it will also be consider vital in various other domains which might include any team work, project management or any research conducted for individual or group development. There are certain skills and abilities that managers need to assure in themselves in order to conduct the activities of their job role and responsibilities in an efficient manner altogether. One of the foremost skills of a leader is to steer the people or the human resource towards a particular direction in order to meet the overall goals and objectives of the team or the business. A leader should also have capability to motivate others and influence them to conduct their activities as per the requirement of the group. This will also mean that leaders should contain the ability to develop proper interpersonal relationship with the team members so that they could respect and adhere to the set norms of the team and follow what the leaders assign to them. Another important characteristic of a manager or leader is to be disciplined and strict with regard to conduct the activities of the team in a fair and legitimate way so that the ultimate results obtained should fulfil the standards desired. A leader or manager will also need to have proper skill of management and team building along with appropriate task allocation ability. In this regard, I will like to mention that among these competencies I inherit few of them in me while I need to enhance my abilities in some of the domains. I have a good set of skills in terms of communication which might help me in developing noteworthy interpersonal communication with the team members which I lead. I also contain a good personality where I can motivate others to perform their tasks with efficacy and dedication which is again quite helpful for being a leader. However, I will need to develop my competency or personality with regard to be strict and disciplined among the team members so that they conduct their duties seriously. Lack of leadership experience will also need to be mitigated while I develop my leadership skills and competency. I have come to know about my leadership skills and abilities along with the deficit through a particular assessment exercise which indeed was quite assistive for me. I was able to comprehend my strengths and weaknesses in the domain of leadership from the assessment exercise which might prove to be fruitful in the future context. Journal 2 At first I mainly described about how competent I am with regard to role of management or leadership. In this particular journal I will mainly intend to highlight about my experiences for being a group player. Working in a group is/will never be an easy aspect as one need to work with a group of people who are different in terms of behaviour, personality and intellectuality. Each of the group members has their other way of thinking, executing the activities of their job role and responsibilities, and confronting with the problems and issues. In any particular team there are members who have their individualistic goals along with a set of people who have collective goals and think for the betterment of the entire team altogether. These aspects further create a probability of conflict of interest amid the team members owing to the aspect of personality and behavioural differences. When I associate or work for a team as a member, I might also need to confront with this type of problems. It will be crucial to mention that I am person who believes in achieving team goals rather than prioritising individual needs or demands. However, this belief of mine might not completely correlate with the perceptions of other team members. This might further give rise to conflict of interest amid the team. This is a potential problem that I might need to face while working with a particular team. Again as I mentioned earlier I am kind of person who is quite open in terms of communication and building strong interpersonal bonding. However, if the other team member maintain an introvert approach, the aspect of communication amid the team members will be hard to establish. This is a potential problem which I might need to deal with while working in a team as a group member. Apart from that since it will hard to seek equal level of motivation from each of the team members, the effectiveness of the accomplishment of the goals of the team might get affected. The consequences of this particular aspect might not be appreciable from my end. This might also be a problem when I work in a team. I am going to conduct research on the renewable energy during which I might confronted with certain problematic issues. Contextually, I will stick to my strengths in the course of conducting the research and will intend to execute the responsibilities of my team role. I will also remain focus towards achieving the overall goals and objectives of the research despite of any sort of conflict that might arise as I want the ultimate results to be fruitful. I will also ensure the sharing knowledge and vision within the team so that each of the team can show creativity and innovation in their work that might indirectly benefit in achieving the desired result from the research conducted. Journal 3 As I discussed previously I will conduct a particular research regarding the aspect of renewable energy and how it might impact the domain of sustainability for a business unit. It is believed that sustainability is one of the core issues of any business concern today owing to the competitive and ever changing business world. In the present day context energy is a particular aspect that has become a mandatory need in day to day operations of people especially in the domain of conveyance. My research will intend to highlight some of the basic facts that are prevailing in the domain of energy consumption. However, in order assure maximum reliability and validity in the result of the research, I will need to set a particular dimension and boundary for the research so that I could be able to acquire precise data and results. For this purpose I have chosen the UK as the demographic platform to conduct my research on renewable energy and sustainability. This particular decision of mine is largely influenced by a particular report that was making headlines in the news channels and national newspapers in the UK. The reports highlighted that the UK is currently facing an energy crisis and the nation is expected to see blackouts within the coming five years. This has raised concerns of the people in the nation. The concerned authorities in the nations further warned that there might raise a scarcity of electrical energy within the nation as the electric energy is expected to reduce to half of what it is now in the coming days. This aspect will not only impact the common people but it will leave a noteworthy impact in the business sector as well. The scarcity of energy resource will also have a negative effect on the prices of energy including fuel and energy which is expected to get higher up to a major extent. In this regard, experts proposed for the need of innovation in the domain of renewable energy which is also regarded as a lifeline for people in the present day context. Some believes that emphasizing more on wind turbines and other natural source of energy might be a potential choice. However, nothing has been depicted with utmost precision and confidence which further makes it a complex problem. Therefore, in this particular research I along with the other team members will mainly intend to provide answers for the questions of sustainability and innovation in the domain of renewable energy in the UK. The research will also intend to highlight the potential alternatives in terms of the sources of renewable energy in the future context. The research will be conducted in the demography of the UK mainly because of the prevalence of the issues in the UK which will also assure the availability of the relevant data in a widespread manner. I will also like to mention that while conducting the research my focus will be to acquire the data from reliable and authenticated sources which will make the overall results more genuine. Journal 4 The above research that will be conducted by me and the team will be quite a crucial one as the subject matter of the research is one of the notable issues in the present day context. Therefore, it is vital that each of the team members should provide their maximum support towards the successful completion of the research. Each of the team members will have a key role to play in the research irrespective of their hierarchal position within the team. Contextually, as a group member my role throughout the research will also be of utmost importance and will need to make vital contribution towards the accomplishment of the team goals. As a leaner, my individualistic aims and objective from this research will be to develop my position as an effective and valuable team member entirely on the basis of my work and approach. However, in the course of association with this particular research project emphasize will be more towards attaining team goals and objectives rather than attaining my personal desires. This means that I will take the collectivist approach instead of the individualistic one. I believe this approach of mine will be beneficial for the overall team. In this regard I will also motivate the other members in the team to be more collective and work as a team to come up with better results. It will be crucial to mention that though there will be certain role and responsibility for me in the team, I will not limit myself to only a particular dimension, rather I will focus on contributing my services in various domains. Again probably there will be lot of juniors in the team who might not have adequate experience in conducting research or working in a group. In this context, I will share my knowledge with the team members in order to make them feel comfortable within the group. This will also work positively for the entire team conducting the research. In any particular team work, the aspect of knowledge and vision sharing is quite crucial. I as a responsible team member will not obstruct myself from knowledge sharing within the workplace. This will also be part of my contribution in the research within the team. When an individual work in a team he/she will need to maintain a good relationship with all the team members so that an appropriate work culture could be maintained. Contextually, as a team member I will seek to enhance my ability of communication to a much larger extent where I could be able to develop by interpersonal relationship with the teammates further ensuring accomplishment of the organizational goal in a collective manner. In the domain of research I will provide my utmost support in assuring that all the tasks are conducted with maximum efficacy and the entire research is conducted smoothly. Maximum involvement in the decision making of the team is also being among my contribution to the team in order to accomplish the overall objective. Journal 5 The research that I have discussed in the previous sections of the paper will be conducted in a systematic manner ensuring the adoption of a particular analytical framework. A particular framework will ensure that the research is conducted following all the ethical and legal requirements further ensuring utmost depth and validity of the results obtained. The need for an analytical framework in this particular project is also relevant to the fact that the subject matter for this particular research is of utmost significance and it is one of the wicked problems in the UK society today. This aspect further depicts the needs for systematic and proper analysis in the course of conducting the research. Proper analysis and evaluation is one of the most important determinants for any particular research in order to ensure smooth execution of the same. It will be crucial to mention that when a particular research is conducted in a generalised manner through the utilisation of common sense of the team members, the results obtained might not correlate with the desired or predetermined objectives. Hence, it is important to eliminate the generalised approach of conducting the research and adopt a particular analytical framework to ensure positive outcomes. Conducting research without proper tools and techniques will be will give rise to complexity which is again a threat for the success of the entire research. Hence, this project will be executed through proper utilisation of specific analytical tools and techniques. In this regard, I will make use of the theories that were being studied in the previous term in order to conduct this particular research in an efficient manner. The theories that were identified and studied in the previous terms paper were directly relevant to innovation which is one of the major component for this particular research. Through this particular research work we were intended to identify some of the potential alternative or innovative approach which can be implemented in the domain of renewable energy/power. The theories that were discussed in the term 1 are directly relevant to the research we are conducting as it depicts mechanisms and analytical tools that might prove to be crucial for us in the research. The theories that were being identified in the first term were also stated about how frameworks and mechanisms ensure stabilisation in any particular research or study. This particular aspect might also turn out to be important when we conduct the research on renewable energy. The model that was highlighted in the previous term was social constructivism which is combination of science and technology that is further linked with innovation. This particular tool might ensure fruitful results in the research. At one point of the theories mentioned in term 1 it was depicted that in order assure appreciable results in particular domain it is important to align the resources together and manage the result consequently. This is also a vital point that is deemed to be directly applicable in this particular research project. Hence, it will be crucial that in this particular research I along with the entire team will need to follow systematic process adhering to the theoretical knowledge that were acquired prior to this particular research. Journal 6 In this particular journal I will discuss about my experiences of associating with this particular project along with depicting some of the noteworthy results that were obtained in course of conducting the research study. With the execution of this particular research we have been able to depict certain interesting results which were yet to be unexplored. According to our study, the aspect of renewable power of decreasing slowly and steadily in the UK which has a further became a prime concern for both the people in the society and the people in the business domain as most of their operations are dependent on renewable source of energy. As per the result of our research it can be said that the scarcity of renewable power will mainly be seen in the domain of electricity which is expected to reduce to half of what it is now. This aspect is also deemed to have impact on the corporate contracts regarding renewable power source. This can be better justified from the aspect that one fifth of the power stations in the UK is expected to get halted in the coming ten years further reducing electricity generation by more than 12 gigawatts which reduces the capacity considerably. Our research has also determined that the government and other concerned authorities of the nation are seeking to assure innovation in this particular domain so that better energy source can be pre-developed for the future generation. My association with this particular project offered me a good learning experience which might be crucial for me in the future context. Prior to this particular group research my knowledge and experiences regarding team work were limited to theoretical understanding without any practical underpinning. However, this particular group research was quite helpful to me in the aspect that it allowed me to explore and experience team work and group results. As per my theoretical understanding working in a team will never be an easy task as it involves several key complications and complexity. But in oppose to this, my experience of working in the research team was quite smooth and enjoyable where each of the moment was new and unknown to me. I have been able to learn a lot from the leaders and other team members which I consider to be quite valuable in the long run. My experience of understanding has also lengthened by the knowledge that I have gained from the research. The research has also augmented my knowledge regarding the aspect of renewable energy and its present status at least in the UK which is again a valuable aspect altogether. Apart from that the fact that renewable energy and power is reducing with every passing day will further encourage me to be more responsible towards using energy in my day to day work and encourage others to ensure maximum savings in this particular domain.
