Extract of sample "Business Ethics and Organizational Values"

In order to have good business ethics, an individual has to avoid the mindset and feeling that they're always right and not assume they know best.  Through listening and asking opinions from co-workers and clients, a person is even able to learn more and grow in the business.

  1. Confidentiality

It is important that the confidentiality of clients’ information and the company’s information be held accordingly.  Most companies around the globe have policies, which are strict on the employees.

  1. Honesty

Honesty is enveloped in all components of the company.  A company would rather be honest with its clients so that the client can get a well, elaborate, and accurate service. (Thyssen, 2007) A company would rather be honest with what it can provide to its clients than give empty promises that may affect the relationship and reputation between the clients and the company itself.

  1. Trustworthiness

For a company to flourish it should strive to be trustworthy.  A company without trust loses many clients.  For clients to be able to rely on services that may be provided by a company the company should convince them beyond any reasonable doubt that the output they give is true and fair.  The clients should be able to have confidence in the company’s abilities.

  1. Personal Responsibility

Each employee has a personal responsibility to uphold a good code of ethics in the company.  This contains consequences in case an employee violates any of the codes of ethics.

Daily employees in a company make decisions that determine certain transactions in the company.  Employees have to show certain business ethics to their respective companies.  Strong decision-making and business ethics can also help companies select the best business opportunities.

Every company has to identify its business ethical standards in decision-making, which often means different things to different people.  People who are already working in a company have the same ethical standards rather than new employees in a company that is employed with different ethical standards.  A difference in ethics often changes how individuals approach the decision-making process.
