Personal ment on Worldview Interestingly, people see the world differently and this perhaps makes the difference between the successful and the less successful people in the world. I have always believed that success in life is primarily determined by the small decisions we make in life. In every decision made, however small it is, perfection is always the key thing. Indeed, those people that are always seeking for perfection have high chances of success in whatever they do. For instance, I learn mostly from other people’s mistakes and experiences to avoid making costly mistakes in the future.

This largely impacts on many aspects of life especially in education where I endeavour to do profound literature review when doing research. The world is full of opportunities in resources, people, time, and all other aspects of life but only the brave and opportunistic people can succeed in the world. However, the world can only be fruitful if everyone exercised utilitarianism in all their actions. Strong values, good morals, effective communication skills and personal management goes a long way in making the world a better place to live in.

However, considering the overwhelming competition in the current world, success rests in synergistic application of all tenets of success since failure in any aspects could mean failure in all other aspects. When doing academic research, my worldviews actually align with the worldviews described in the course text, Research Design: Qualitative, Quantitative, and Mixed Methods Approaches. For instance, as I seek for perfection in research work, I have to do rigorous literature review so that I can learn from the mistakes of previous researchers and then build up from where they left.

In a world where opportunities are always present but hidden, profound and diverse knowledge in various disciplines comes in handy when am doing research work since diverse knowledge results in better research approach. The world does not present unlimited resources and therefore, I have to optimise the available resources especially when doing research. However, this should not be an excuse to yield half-baked research findings. It is worth considering the fact that the world can only be a better place if everyone did a meaningful contribution in areas of expertise.

My actions, research methodologies, and procedures should always be utilitarian in nature so that I can be of use to the world. More importantly, I am driven by morals and strong code of ethics both in personal organisation and in the academics since this is the only way that I can integrate fully and be in harmony with the rest of the society. To mark my niche in the world, I have to be excellent in interpersonal relationships as well as in interpersonal communication, as this is the only way I can harness resources as well as market my potential and contribution to the world.

This comes in handy in research work which heavily depends on effective communication and interpersonal relationship when doing research and presenting findings to the world. Just like all other successful researchers, I would be so grateful if my research findings made a remarkable impact in the world.
