Time Management of Time Management Time management strategies are important in the successof every student. The first strategy is to work consistently by attending all the lectures that are issued in the semester as well as doing personal reading. Secondly, a student should have a timetable of the whole semester as this will help the student to plan ahead for tight schedules. More time should be set aside for doing the most important things and finally the student should be able to allocate the most effective time for study to accomplish the challenging tasks.

Taylor (2002) states that in planning time it is very important to determine the tasks which are important and arrange them according to their urgency. This will help in allocating the required time for each task thus avoiding an incident where the task is not accomplished when it’s time for submission is long overdue. Reynolds (2008) points out that one of the main challenges in time management is engagement in that the online environment requires that I get engaged in the class work on a daily basis.

There are too many online posts that require reading and responding to as well as the individual assignments that need to be completed before the dead line. Another challenge is that it is very difficult to make time for all the daily requirements like class work, family, and employment as well as time to relax and sleep soundly (Robbins 2004). Online learning is advantageous because I am flexible and this enables me to do other takes as well as finding time to take part in the online learning process.

However the main drawback of online learning is that the courses are much paced and there is no room to fall behind. This causes a strain on the part of the student since everything has to be done on time. One of the main advantages of online learning is its flexibility since the students are able to choose their convenient time to take part in the online learning (Howard 2005). This flexibility enables the individuals with tight time schedule to take part in the learning process especially the people who are in full employment.

One of the major drawbacks of online learning is that the online learning process is somewhat anonymous in nature therefore creating a personal bond between the various participants of online learning is very difficult. In this context therefore, the students will not be able to interact freely amongst themselves thus group work might not be successful (Kraemer 2003). The various strategies that makes an individual successful for the DBA program include have self confidence that can be achieved by setting goals that can be achieved as well as believing in the self.

An individual should also change the attitudes that are likely to damage their self confidence. One should be able to strike a balance between studies and other areas like work. A student should seek help when faced with a challenging situation and finally, a student should utilize the available resources within the school that will help in achieving success (Kidd 2010).
