News search Summary The town of Gangi In Sicily came up with an idea to rehabilitate itself through inviting foreign buyers who can restore its buildings back to a habitable state (POVOLEDO, 2015). The town’s people invented the means to fast track the highly bureaucratic processes that hampers foreign property buying and investment. This initiative by the town is an effort towards repopulating the town.
Principle of Solidarity
The Catholic Principle of Solidarity is founded on the biblical principle of humanity whereby it is believed that we are as one family due to our direct lineage from Adam and Eve. Gods laws and love place a demand on humankind to treat all other human beings who are created in Gods image with love and care irrespective of race, color or creed (Abela & Capizzi, 2014). This principle applies to persons, communities and even nations who must love and treat others based on how they themselves would like to be treated. The initiative of the town’s people of Gangi is a working example of an effort at humanity coming together as one family. Inviting other people from all over the world regardless of race, color or creed promotes the brotherhood of all mankind.
Principle of Subsidiarity
Pope Puis XI social teachings of equity and power in all business and political issues is decentralized and brought as close as possible to the local citizenry in order to ensure that there is social justice (Abela & Capizzi, 2014). This principle is basically the decentralization of power from the centralized authority. This gives the local communities more power to make decisions on matters that impact them directly. Decentralizing power ensures social justice through equity in the decision-making process. The decision of the town’s people of Gangi is an example of local citizens taking political as well as business decisions into their own hands in order to better their lives by promoting tourism.
Principle of the Common Good
This Catholic principle applies to all areas of human life; spiritual, mental, physical and social (Abela & Capizzi, 2014). This principle should be equitably expressed in the equal provision of security, temporal goods, social well-being, and fundamental rights to all individuals. The dignity of every human being must be maintained in line with Gods laws and principles irrespective of race, color, or creed. The Gangi project will benefit the social, economic well being of all the town’s people while respecting the fundamental rights and freedoms of the locals. The foreign buyers will get to acquire a great holiday home and at the same time integrate into the local society.
Principle of Personalism
Pope John Paul II exemplifies this principle by teaching that human beings are not just "rocks" that one can manipulate and use as they please but are their "own" (Crosby, 2000). The right to choose is a God given gift because all humans were given free will. This makes any form of slavery evil and a violation of the laws and love of God. Economic slavery is just as evil as physical slavery, as humans are Gods creatures. The solution of Gangi enables the individual homeowners to sell their homes on their own terms.
Principle of the Universal Destination of Goods
This principle holds that the right of every human being to all resources that are necessary for their well-being and development supersedes the capitalistic completion for profit. This means that all efforts must be put in to help the development of the poor because Jesus himself was poor but still needed temporal resources to develop fully (Abela & Capizzi, 2014). The openness with, which the tendering process is done, makes it a fair deal for all peoples across all nations. A closed deal would have been too selective and restrictive in that it would have dictated the desired buyers from select countries.

...unable to point out the deficiency inherent in the model; the model has however been challenged recently as it has failed to explain the current flow phenomenon in the lithium ion batteries. This discovery surfaced when a cell containing a carbon coated porous electrode was used to analyze the validity of the old concept; while the older model failed to explain the results, the Marcus-Hush-Chidsey theory successfully explained the flow of energy within the battery. This theory gives a new insight into the phenomenon of flow of energy in a battery and relates it to rate of flow of electrons between carbon coating and porous electrode. The difference is more marked at higher voltages. This is an entirely...
