The Influence of Health Policies and the Future of Health Care in the USA The issues and problems inherent in overall health care in the U.S. Disparities among the American community continue to reflect within the healthcare system despite establishment and engagement of various care systems to foster the improvement of the health systems (Barr, 2011). Consequently, the population continues to suffer the inherent problems as they arise within the structural organization of the state healthcare systems. Notably, several inherent issues reflect within the procedures of administering and acquiring successful and effective care process to the citizens. Firstly, there arises the issue of poverty and income versus the cost of the health systems. Most of the American population consists of citizens whose income levels cannot sustain their health needs (Sultz & Young, 2011). Thus, even as they seek the coverage of the various health policies as initiated by the government to facilitate affordable care to all people, they fail to achieve the required care. Thus, the continually increasing costs of the health care system are a leading factor of contention with respect to the healthcare systems of the USA. Secondly, there is the issue of the insurance cover. The insurance systems in the country continue to charge the citizens accordingly for their health coverage. However, the insurance companies do a disservice to the citizens despite their commitment to the insurance contribution. Most of the insurance provide coverage to limited levels, meaning that certain conditions such as asthma or cancer, which require high costs for treatment, may not receive adequate financial support from the insurance companies. Thus, the health insurance policies need to reflect accordingly to support the citizens of the USA in guarding their rights within these insurance coverage systems (Starr, 2011). Further, there is a disparity in acquiring healthcare due to the establishment of factors relating to the blacks versus the whites. These aspects of discrimination within the care system result from the multi-ethnic differences and perspectives, leading to insufficient and unhealthy care system procedures. Thus, as an issue of concern, the health care system needs to address this section f the arising matters. Lastly, professional perspective is also an inherent issue within the provision of health care in the USA. Notably, the nursing profession experiences aspects of limitation in administering care to the patients accordingly. For instance, their participation in the processes of developing strategies and policies relating to their work is minimal Sultz & Young, 2011). Thus, such professional limitations due to the absence of cooperation and collaboration within the legislative and professional perspectives present challenges to the administration of successful care. Thus, the strategic plans in addressing these inherent issues ought to factor the nursing profession in the provision of healthcare to the American population. The government views versus my perception The day the highest court in USA ruled on the controversial “Obamacare” act, instituting the provision of patient protection and affordable care to the citizens, many citizens of the democratic view envisioned the verdict as a breakthrough to the solution of the inherent healthcare issues. However, in successive multiple polls, it is emerging that most Americans view the PPACA act unfavorably, ass a section of the provisions contradict their profound liberties. Thus, in this reception, I joined the opposition in the declaration that the government views in the healthcare system remains unsuccessful in instituting the care systems. The following processions in the reforms within the health care system remain unsuccessful in addressing the considerable crucial elements of the care system (Starr, 2011). Notably, the government in its endeavors and procedures fails to address the fundamental elements of the issues as they arise within the health care systems. Thus, despite the commitment of the government in providing affordable care, as well as, protecting the rights of the people, it is notable that there is a colossal breach in the healthcare systems (Barr, 2011). The care processes need to incorporate more participation and regulation for the government perspective. Thus, it is essential to develop care system that features the successful incorporation of key elements for the provision of effective health care systems. Financial rationale of current U.S. health care policies The financial coverage within the healthcare system incorporates the state insurance agencies, as well as, private and employment terms coverage for the health of the people. These coverage systems finance the healthcare for the citizens. Thus, from this perspective, it is notable that the elemental factor of finance continues to influence the health provision procedures accordingly. Additionally, in view of the economic status within the country, a multitude of the American citizens lack the adequate financial stability to afford most of the crucial care services as expected in the care conditions (Kronenfeld, 2010). Thus, observing from the economic perspective, the financial willingness, and ability of citizens forms a notable influential factor towards the provision of effective health care. Further, the consideration of the ethical aspects within the care system also influences the care system accordingly. For instance, in the legislative development, the policies developed for care infringe the fundamental liberties of people such as life as illustrated by the debates over the abortion process. Thus, such ethical concerns affect the care system and its provisions. Additionally, the factor of ethnic disparities within the country also cause ethical issues towards the provision of health care system (Barr, 2011). Thus, such elements within the United States of America health care system reflect significantly as key areas the government is failing in addressing. Plan to improve the present U.S. health care system The current healthcare continuum features a myriad of policies and regulations imposed by government and the private sector insurers to institute the improvement of the U.S. care system. However, despite these processions, the facilitation of care remains a crucial element for the country and her citizens. Thus, firstly, to institute improvement of present care environment, the plan should incorporate nurses to take an advocacy role to influence change in the healthcare system. Nurses as primary care providers, as they take the advocacy role, they will implement remarkable changes within the health systems through their professional aspects and reception of the challenges facing the care system (Kronenfeld, 2010). Secondly, the government should give power to the health professionals to participate within the legislative arena for effective action. The professionals will develop structures of action that effectively address the health concerns since they address the patients directly. Additionally, the participation of the private sector in health provision needs to increase to allow for a positive competitive environment; hence, increasing quality of care. However, their involvement should also allow for subsidizing the costs of care to facilitate affordable care to the citizens. Moreover, in the strategy, the government should seek sponsors from the interstate organizations and private participators to facilitate the financing for the healthcare system to facilitate affordability (Barr, 2011).
