GLOBALIZATION, INTERNATIONAL MANUFACTURES AND SERVICE PROVIDERS Introduction Globalization refers to the conduct in which people connect across larger distances. Natives are able to create new world society through globalization. They are able to do more things that are similar and hence affect each other’s life deeply in one way and another. Moreover, they follow the same norms and grow more together with awareness of things they share further. In the book, Globalization, by Frank J. Lechner, he argues that, globalization tend to shape the everyday lives of people (Lechner, 2009, p 2). This is through what natives eat, watch and manage economic dimensions. Therefore, globalization connects people and tends to manipulate activities, especially in the economic perspectives to have a common objective. Additionally, globalization promotes the sharing of resources across the globe. Globalization examines operations of various institutions. Besides, economic and religious perspectives, with regards on how to build the world society, necessitate globalization. The main purpose of globalization is to control the problems that the world today faces especially in dealing with the environment and inequality. Therefore, the study of globalization encourages connection of people from different and diverse areas, to come together and solve some of the main problems in the world today. This is done through sharing of trade activities and promotion of equality in terms of resources. On the other hand, international managers facilitate promotion of globalization. They negotiate alliances, deal with the government officials and motivate diverse workforce (Betty& Oded, 2004, p 478). Therefore, managers play a central function in regulating globalization across the globe. They tend to bring together all the necessary factors that develop globalization. Moreover, international management research plays decisive roles in supporting international firms and international management. The managers control and solve problems rising from increasingly composite and swift shifting world. Exploring dynamics of cross-cultural negotiations and conduct of international surveys necessitate the inclusion of international managers in the operations (AACSB International Staff& AACSB International 201, p. 56). Critical assessment of globalization The shape of the world is becoming clear through globalization. All the diversity of the economic field shapes and connects through globalization. The world culture, consequences, and origins examines through globalization (Lechner, 2009, p 8). The world culture increasingly informs the thinking and controls the operations of individuals. To control the negative effects of globalization, the need to have a variety of operations across the world become necessary. The development of industries across the globe and the services of intermediaries neutralize the negative effects of globalization and instead promote economic stability and progress within the world. Globalization tends to eliminate world culture, which develops and brings confusion within humanity. The expansion of factories by international manufactures and the services provided by suppliers’ brakes barriers that limit globalization. This is because majority of people will be able to do business in different parts of the globe and make economic activities within the world easier and convenient to many citizens. Moreover, globalization promotes unity of cultures across the planet and hence promoting economic and social activities. The promotion of the activities automatically accelerates expansions of business ventures across the world since natives become free with each other to operate any business within the world without any conditions. The expansion of businesses across the world has taken effect with examples of business expansions in Asia and South America because of the steady flow of globalization in Europe. International manufactures and service providers especially suppliers tend to invest and expand their business in Europe because of the positive prevailing conditions of globalization in European countries. More business people are able to meet and operate business because of connections of globalization in terms of social and cultural values. Globalization has enabled natives in Europe and Asia to have common cultural values, which promote their activities across the world. It has enabled them spread their commerce across the world because of common and engaging social platforms, which not only makes them partners in business, but also promotes productive results in their activities. Globalization works in and through nation states. It allows entrepreneurs’ and supplier to operate their activities within different nations peacefully. On the other hand, it changes the operations of nation states and peoples procedures because of the diverse and wide activities that globalization creates. In the book, The Netherlands: Globalization and National Identity by Frank J. Lechner, he focuses on the Dutch, and their national identity in response to globalization (Lechner 2008, p.42). Globalization changes the original activities that the Dutch natives were involved in operating and take course of the new activities initiated by globalization. They tend to embrace globalization and move with the new wave of operations in their cultural and social activities up to the business levels. The problem today in globalization is not how to overcome nation states but how to build on the differences that globalization establishes. Additionally, globalization is a greater transformation both in technical and social perspectives. It has helped humans within few centuries to learn how nature works effectively, move things and people with ease. Examples of Countries and Companies considering Globalization Chinese firms supply abundant and inexpensive labor in their manufacturing companies. This is because most of them lack resources in areas of capital, branding, technology and human resources (Arthur, Katherine, Waldemar & Shengjun, 2011, p.21). Moreover, they are inadequate in terms of experience and training. The resource gaps are more intense for firms that target themselves against the excellent companies. The enterprises and the countries seek to compete in the global markets. However, globalization in Chinese firms has promoted developments in major economic platforms of the country. More people have been able to operate in a more expensive labor market with the use of appropriate resource allocations because of the accelerating rise of globalization across the world. Besides, Chinese firms can access financial resources they need and at the same time improve their corporate performance because of globalization (Bigman, 2002, p.32). Therefore, globalization is a good opportunity for companies and countries to acquire resources overseas, which are in critical shortages. Companies such as CIMC, TLC, Lenovo and BenQ have all become successfully in china through globalization that has promoted brand recognition, technology and overseas channels. Moreover, the Haier group decided to set up a factory in the U.S because of the advantages that globalization creates. The total cost of setting up the factory in the U.S prompted economic markets and labor costs because of globalization concepts. Companies such as Huawei, ZTE and Trend Micro all adapted this path, because of the increasingly benefits that globalization establishes in the U.S markets. Political, Economics, Socio-Cultural and Technological Implications of Globalization Globalization reflects perceptions, that the world changes and moulds in shared social space, accelerated by political, economic, socio-cultural and technological forces. Developments in one region of the world can have fundamental implications in the life of individuals and communities across the globe affecting their socio-cultural aspects. Globalization affects political fatalism and chronic insecurity (Held, 2009, p.56). Contemporary socio cultural aspects and economic changes outstrip the capacity of national governments and political aspects to control citizens in their quest for globalization. The need of having a proper and well-established political regimes in any nation, promotes globalization since many investors and service providers for instance suppliers of goods and services, will be able to operate in nations with peaceful political conditions. The future of economic globalization Economic globalizations reinforce the functions of markets and reduce likelihood of political interventions (Miguel& Dietrich 2004, p 3). These markets are guided by criteria of globalization other than profit maximization. Moreover, economic globalization limits the range of action nations from interfering with the global market. Political interference and dominance is highly reduced in the future of economic globalization. The guidelines for any political power to come and influence the operations of markets are not too strict to allow political powers interference. Economic globalization generates independence for the functions of the markets and developments in many varied ways hence promoting the spread and establishments of business across the world. Additionally, economic globalization and the future of welfare states form two broad competing hypotheses of compensation and efficiency. Compensation hypotheses points tensions and dislocations created by market involvement in economic globalization. Efficiency hypotheses claims economic globalization spaces tough descending pressures on societal welfare strategy in a range of mechanisms. Conclusion Managers and service providers facilitate globalization across the globe. They promote initiatives that magnify benefits and lessen costs of globalization. It is therefore vital for countries to take the responsibility of globalization based on the services that managers and service providers offer in the business field, in order to have successful complex structure of globalization. It gives international manufactures and service providers an opportunity to invest in other countries and therefore promoting economic stability across the globe. The sharing and establishment of different factories across the globe with the inclusion of manufactures and service providers promotes globalization. Exploring dynamics of cross-cultural negotiations and conduct of international surveys necessitate the inclusion of international managers in the operations.
