Jack Welch realized this need and created a book aimed at increasing the efficiency at which advice is provided to stakeholders in the business field. The book Winning is written in respect to the experience achieved in the filed as the CEO in one of the most successful business entities in the world, General Electric. Jack served at the helm of the company for 20 years which enabled him to learn a lot of the requirements of the business filed. Jack Welch transfers this knowledge and expertise to his audience through this book.

His tenure at General Electric made him acquire expertise and knowledge required in the field. Welch further points out that the book enables them to pass part of this knowledge to people who need guidance in the field (2).The book focuses on three learning points; the internal environment of an organization, the external environment of an organization and the career management. This paper will effectively analyze these three learning points. Additionally, the paper will focus on the effectiveness of these learning outcomes to leaders as well as individuals in the field of business.

In this section, Welch focuses on the internal management of organizations. Welch introduces effective leadership. He terms effective leadership as an all-round ability to handle all departments in an organization. In his argument, leaders should not just focus on success but how to create an organization culture that motivates an organization towards success. This ability also requires the need to motivate employees. In employee motivation, Welch introduces three types of employees. An employee who is a performer, an employee with a good heart but not performance and the bitter employee who makes everyone scared of them.

Regardless of these characteristics, a leader should be able to fire and hire employees who drive an organization towards success (Welch 123).
