Reflection on the Ceibal Plan based on the technology for everyone by Miguel I have learned to appreciate the peaceful, yet exhilarating moment when my mind engages with an authors thoughts on the issue of technology for everyone and how technology goes further to shape education levels from various nations. As seen from the video reflecting Miguel on his mission towards technological perception, the author gives us an overview of Miguel who is an Engineer by professionalism, having graduated 25 years ago from Imperia College in London. This video based in Uruguay is a representation of the search of new technologies and application by Miguel having been on the limelight and responsible for beginning of Digital Equipment Corp well known us Compaq and Uruguay refers to Acer.
This video indicates the history and social as well technical activities Miguel have been engaged into all along his career. He was appointed as a chairman of LATU well known Uruguay technological laboratory. The organization is a government Agency that upholds the country’s sustainability and development through modernization and relocation of solutions within Uruguay nation. Miguel has been at the front light to sponsor Ceibal Plan in Uruguay, a curriculum that is well based on the OLPC (One Laptop per child) which in turn was implemented by LATU Agency.
As a college student, I have always wanted to know the truth behind the positive impacts of technology on education and however, I have now realized this would negate literature of its most noteworthy complexities. Individual interpretations bring varied insights to a work and it is also interesting to point out messages the author may not have realized s/he included in the piece.
I have always been a thinker, but throughout my coursework, I have greatly sharpened my critical analysis skills towards the prevailing influence of technology when executed by various governance bodies. Instead of focusing on proposed meanings or biographical background, I have learned to continuously ask "why" on many different levels business articulation comes at hand. I challenge myself to dig into a text as deeply as possible and unpack every detail to develop a satisfying knowledge on how a technology for all is that crucial to the prevailing environment. For in this case, The OLPC programme in Uruguay emphasizes on the aspects of social inclusion that entails technology and education.
