Marketing Plan Advertising and Promotional Activities The Facebook page will act as a virtual showroom of UN and will connect with potential buyers who are on Facebook. Such ad banners can really help in informing the customers about the presence of UN. The banners however will not give detailed information about the product. It will focus on points like unique designs available, offers and discounts etc. Such short messages at the busy places can grab the immediate attention of many potential customers.

The third strategy that will be used is sending leaflets along with newspapers. An attractive leaflet will be designed that will feature some of the unique and attractive designs, the price range for each and the applicable discounts; etc will be mentioned in the leaflets. This will be supplied in the city along with the newspapers. This strategy will be effective because most such leaflets are expected to reach directly to the house where the newspaper is supplied. Type of Clientele: The major client base of UN is the affluent customers who reside in the heart of the city.

This category includes the middle aged customers and also the young working population. The residents of the city are expected to constitute almost 85% of the customer base of UN. The major product of the portfolio of UN is the furniture aimed at the households. The second major target of UN is the business customers. The business customers mainly include the retail stores in the city. Furniture design service is one unique selling proposition of UN furniture compared to that of the competitors.

The customers, both individual and corporate, can have the furniture designed based on their requirement. So basically, UN could alternately be termed as an interior design solutions company. Networking Strategies: It is extremely important for UN furniture to network with the customers and potential customers to be able to generate more business. UN will maintain good relationships with the existing customers with the objective of generating more number of customers. Existing customers will be offered a referral bonus on bringing in more customers to the store.

A blog will be created for the UN furniture to ensure a better online presence. The blog will feature all latest updates about UN furniture, the new designs, offers, etc. to the potential customers. This blog will also be linked to the Facebook page so that the customers can also get connected through Facebook. Operational Plan Organization Structure: UN furniture will be headed by a managing director. The managing director will be in charge of managing the overall activity of the store. Under the managing director will be finance manager, operation and logistics manager and marketing manager.

Human resources will be directly handled by the managing director. The finance manager will manage the overall financial activity of the company. Logistics is an important component in this business as the products have to be sourced and made available in the store as per the demand. The logistics manager will function to ensure that there is a smooth flow of goods inside and outside the store. The finance manager will work closely with all the other departments. All other departments will have concerned executives who will collect the invoices, bills, etc.
