Moreover, the approach used by the franchise is different as compared to other similar businesses. For instance by adhering to strict policies against freezing foodstuff, they have managed to produce fresh products of superior quality (Five Guys’ Burgers and Fries, n.d.). This has in turn increased their customers into a cult-like following (McKechnie, 2012). The franchise also focuses on production of healthy meals by cutting down on high fat content in their products. This is achieved by the use of natural cooking oil products and in this case peanut oil for the French fries, which ensures a healthy consumer who in turn acts as a salesperson, thus more sales.

The company does not indulge into producing new products that often fail due to the method of preparation or poor reception; they stick to their well-laid policies (Welch, 2010). Original values As the business began, it provided freshly baked bread and buns for its hamburgers as well as freshly ground beef (Welch, 2010). The company has been able to replicate and maintain this all along to the present; hiring the initial staff they had to their bakery. The franchise also observes the quality of their products by maintaining the same supplies as from the start.

Moreover, the company has policies against the use of frozen foods and insists on not having a freezer at any facility (Welch, 2010.). This plays a role in ensuring the quality of their products is fresh. The company has also run quality control procedures on their product processing lines such as the equipments and ingredients involved. The company has had an uncomplicated layout of their restaurants that look the same everywhere they are located; this keeps the customers focused on food (Five Guys’ Burgers and Fries, n.d.).

In addition, not only the physical appearance, but also the brand experience and the brand image are maintained at all times. The company has also stood its ground emerging as a unique entity serving only the best in quality to the satisfaction of the customer. For instance, their products are prepared as customers wait and observe as their orders are processed. This serves as not only strength in that quality is ensured, but also as a weakness since customers who are in a hurry get to wait their turn (Welch, 2010).

Factors contributing to success The Five Guys’ company places emphasis on the quality of their products by formulating crucial policies that are adhered to and effectively implemented. Through ensuring that they have freshly prepared ingredients, they enhance the quality of their products, which has customers queuing for more. The quality is also enhanced by cutting down on trans-fat by the use of peanut oil, which is a healthy option for most customers. The company specializes in burgers and fries which translates to perfection and thus high quality products (Five Guys’ Burgers and Fries, n.d.).

The company values its staff and motivates them to attain the best from them as they are a crucial part of the organization. This is achieved by providing incentives to its staff where free food and drinks are offered at work. Moreover, a significant proportion of the income generated by the company is cycled back to the wellness of its employees.
