All experiments were conducted under supervision in School of Health Sciences and Social Care Motor Control Laboratory during the summer term (give approx dates from 04/06/09 to 12/07/09). I declare that the dissertation submitted here for the consideration of the appropriate award is my own.Firstly, I would like to acknowledge the ideal collaboration with my fellow student and friend Mandeep Singh and Zoe Giannaka, who equally contributed to the design and execution of this experiment. Moreover, I owe a great part of this project to my supervisors.

John Cossar and Dr. Alexander Nowicky for their remarkable support, guidance, and encouragement during the past year. Special thanks go to my fellow student and friend Sonia Kapoor and Karan Dhanak, who contributed to the experimental part of this project. I also feel obliged to the participants of this study as well as the members of the staff for their valuable contribution. More general thanks are owed to old and new friends: their support and company during this year is something that I will always remember.

I would especially like to mention Vaibhav Singh, who has backed all my decisions and has shared my concerns for a long time. Last but not least, my deepest thanks go to my parents, my brother Kanishkand my sister credit for their love and understanding.Firstly, I would like to acknowledge the ideal collaboration with my fellow student and friend Mandeep Singh and Zoe Giannaka, who equally contributed to the design and execution of this experiment.
