The types and their respective percentages are as follows: 72.7% natural forest, 20.1% artificial forest, and 7.2% bamboo forest (Forestry Bureau).    Such percentages of forests show that the country relies on the export of wood to other countries to a large extent. The forestry industry of Taiwan is growing with every passing year and is on its way to becoming one of the biggest exporters of wood products.
