Health and Spa Resort is Better 3 History/Evolution of Development of the Project Many reports have been provided from the ancient paths in the years of 500BC. The Greeks engaged in different cultural practices with the many communities in the region. The Romans also through their rich diversity in the ancient periods also had these practices more in their housing projects. In the major events that they developed included the large Roman Thermae, which they used as a spa. As time went by, technology and knowledge also widened their building criteria and designs.

These led to the development and creation of better designed features, through the establishment of better designs of their facilities. The routine was rounded up with a dip in flagidarium then a time of rest in the library or assembly room (Sue, 1987). Defining the basic designs towards maintaining better improved health facilities through the use of improved design features is what evolution brings in the table. Many designs of health spa and resort have borrowed its cultural designs and layouts from many cultures that have existed in past periods.

For instance the creation of a swimming pool or reaction facilities in the resort, has borrowed it general ideas from the Roman and ancient Greek practices. In the Japanese territories inns were common areas for people to pass time, lodgings for travelers and saunas. On the other hand, Saunas appeared along Baltic in Finland in 1000 A.D. This resulted in a rich health and treatment industry that was developed for healing purposes. For instance, many are searching for services to help in weight-loss and anti-aging.

As a result, the modern resorts are fitted with gyms. In the US, the gyms were established with an aim ensuring healthy mind and body. 3.2 Theories or philosophies associated with project type There are many concerns regarding the development and design of health spa and resort facilities. The creation of these designs should minimize many flaws that many people have been associated with. Design flaws in the health spa and resort may adversely affect the activities in the resort. Like in healthcare facilities, safety, comfort and other needs of the users must be adequately catered for right from the design to the building of the resorts.

The universal design is a theory established by Ronald Mace. It describes the concept for designing and building environment accessible to old people, those with or without disabilities. The design should be of use to extreme extent to everyone regardless of ability, status, or age. This concept although many people have tried to create in evolved homes; it is essential in the creation of reliable and safe facilities especially in hospitals. Have people tried to build something that is “Barrier-free”?

This concept can be used and have been used by many people to build houses that are easily accessible by not only the hospitalized personnel or patients, but by anybody. In health spa and resort facilities, such designs would include installing a ramp in place of steps for those using wheelchairs. The two concepts are characterized by designs whose resulting buildings have smooth entrances without stairs, floor textures requiring less force to move around, stable and firm surfaces, and wide interior doors.

Michael Hensel from Oslo School of Architecture and Design emphasizes the importance of creating a better and understanding the role created during the various issues involved in design, implementation and studies in designing health spa and resort facilities. Its features and implementation designs should be stressed in order to achieve their different uses, purposes and functionalities. 3.3 Distinguished Architects and their designs for the project MGM Resorts and Infinity World Development Corp are among the biggest organizations that have gone green in the recent years.

They have employed one of the most influential architects in this field, to help establish treatment resorts across the globe. They are among the few great architects who have designed these resorts. They have used this type of design in health spa and resort projects. 3.4 Major design issues addressed in the distinguished designs of your project type It is important in many architectural designs, especially of health and treatment resorts, to mention or describe how to cub certain features in relation to their purposes.

Issues like history and culture should also be included. Experiences of many patients and people in health facilities, has explained many issues in regard to sustainability and capacity of these facilities. Therefore caution should be taken on how to into account these features and issues. Such resort must be strategically situated to offer unique experience and view of beautiful scenes like wildlife, history, and heritage of people as shown in the pictures above. The design addresses the demands of customers all the while considering social and environmental conservation.

It also ensures maximum protection of indigenous resources all the while offering high quality services. Appealing landscape features, are among the many attributes that these designs offers to their occupants. To increase the motivation of ailing patients and medical staff boredom should be minimized to a certain level of motivating patients in order for them to learn the appealing surrounding. Furthermore there are many features that are associated with this project. There are many ways through which the health and treatment resort can offer its services to the community through development of energy, water and ecological sustainability.

Some of the energy designs include rainwater collection, water recycling, technology of heat exchange and use of solar panels to reduce electrical billing and dependence. Conceptual plans There are various designs that the health spa and resort users have developed in their mental minds. Therefore it is important to create the development some information from the concept that many designers and management of the facilities have in mind. This creates the first initial function development of the facilities in achieving its requirements and functionalities.

These plans generally evaluate the initial plans that lay the foundation and architectural design frameworks. Ehrenkrantz, Eckstut and Kuhn architects from New York developed a master plan for CityCenter. It aimed at highly populated destinations with interesting parts and experiences, smooth movement of people and surrounding considerations. Gensler, the largest architectural firm, lead the design process by managing seven other architects of a world class. RV Architects specifically designed Vdara Hotel &spaled by Rafael Vinoly.

The resort was designed to suit nearby resort property. Mandarin Oriental is another development of health and treatment resort type designed by Kohn Pederson Fox associates. They are based in New York and their excellent and innovative buildings, in cities all over the world are paramount (Stacy 2013). Contextual designs Developing the context is now important in the creation and development of working designs. Health spa and resort facility will be used by different people and patients who are either in therapy or remissions.

Therefore they represent the information collected from the users of the facilities, giving a glimpse of user–centered designs. Figure 1; courtesy of New York architectural spa designers (2013) Functional designs of a spa Elaborating the main factors and issues in communication regarding usage and compilation, will elaborate further on the importance of having functional design. Therefore it is important to maintain functional designs of the health spa and resort facilities. They are important in showing to stakeholders and users, how the new facilities will work in order to achieve their purposes.

They may be used to explain different uses and functions through picture coverage and actions when in use. Figure 2.courtesy of Japan international spa architectural design (2011) People Many people utilize these facilities essentially to relax and achieve physical therapy. For aged people, having residences designed to offer both spa and health facilities, is a milestone. Therefore designing these facilities can be used by all the people from young to old, poor to rich, and sick to health. Therefore it is important to design health spa and resort facilities keeping in mind that different people can use this facility for different purposes.

Some may use a health spa while others want health services. Climate As a designer who wants to design a health spa and resort facilities, where can you design it? Therefore the surroundings are important and crucial. The surroundings need to be cool and conducive for patients and relaxation. The climate must be attractive, cool and warm fit for health and spa relaxation either in outside or inside the facilities. Therefore some design principles may be used in order to improve these conditions.

Conclusion Health spa and resort comprises of very many services and features that many don’t know about. It has become a habit for most people to utilize the services. Although for many countries, it was a culture, nowadays it has become a hoppy for many to use treatment resorts. In the modern world, services regarding the role played by many treatment facilities have relied on services proofing to be essential. Demand for health spa and resort is rapidly increasing, services like ant-aging, physical body fitness and health leading in the ranks.

Therefore the demand of the services of these facilities has increased the architectural demands. More so the many demands from investors or contactors, have improved the designs regarding the creation and establishment of these facilities. Looking back in the ancient history, the services of resorts from many cultures centuries ago has not changed a bit. Therefore the important aspects that need t o be taken into account revolves around the generation and development of designs covering every aspect and detail regarding the resort.

What is important for many to understand, it the creation of accommodation features and recreation facilities. What if the surrounding too was appealing? Therefore many factors need and have to be taken into account before discerning on a particular design as stated above. Many resorts have been built before. The same designs have been transferred to other facilities or resorts across the world, why? They have been measured and established as the best designed facilities fit for health and treatment resort.

Among the many issues necessary to implement designs, the structural and creations that have been represented by different firms across the world, borrow different features like building, construction, and designs that many organizations implement through standard principles. Therefore what is more important to understand is taking into account the basics and protocols behind the culture and tradition of such establishments. Keeping the tradition and features implemented are all and should be observed to include the necessary actions and services of the facilities.

Summary of history and evolution Many reports have been provided from the ancient paths in the years of 500BC.
