One can see dinosaurs’ footprints as he or she strolls along the Trail. Also, there are birds, mammals, plants as well as insect making the gorgeous scenery complete. Along the Trail, one is able to see how the topography of the region has changed from a swampy area when dinosaurs inhabited the place to a clay mine in the 1900s and finally into an epic golf course that exists until today. In the south-east corner of 6th Ave. and 19th St. intersection, there exists a parking lot. One needs to take the concrete bike path adjacent to the 6th Ave.

and walk for about ¼ mile from the parking lot before connecting with the Triceratops Trail’s trailhead. As one approaches the 6th Ave. from the wooded region, the Triceratops Trail’s trailhead becomes visible on the left when hiking the hill from the forested area.
