The Animated Series of Superman - Movie Review Example

The animated series was produced so that it tells the audience the story of Superman’s adventures once again through enhanced content and ancillary features in products such as the visual effects (Fleischer, 34). The story’s focus is on Superman, who originates from a different planet called Krypton. However, Krypton falls under attack shortly after the birth of Superman. This attack forces Superman’s parents to send him to earth. Superman landed in the United States. A while later, people found Superman in the wilderness and gave him the name Clark Kent.

During the early stages of his life, his adoptive parents realize the developments in Clark; they notice his supernatural powers. Being people of good morals, his parents trained him to use his powers to ensure the safety of planet earth, his adoptive home. After he grows up, Superman gets involved in many encounters that bring out his extraordinary abilities. However, he has the alter ego of a journalist when he is not fighting crime (Donald, 12).Professor Hamilton- is an absent-minded professor who begins by helping Superman fight crime then later in the series turns villainous and begins to view Superman as a threat to the existence of the world.

The animated series came from the initial story about Superman. The theme is fighting crime around the Metropolis area. Superman uses his powers to protect the city from the numerous attacks it faces from different villains. Further, he has to deal with Lex’s constant villain activities. Other themes support the story. These themes include love, hate, and unity (Donald, 25).The production of the animated series came with additional qualities that did not exist before. For instance, the animated series had visual effects that connected to the imagination of the audience.

These features were essential in describing and portraying the adventures that Superman had in combating crime. The themes of love, hate, unity among others come out better in the animated series, with the artists ensuring that every emotion comes out in the artwork.
