Dennis Gansel gives his audience various ideologies ascribed to dictatorship in the Movie, ‘The Wave’. This is described in various themes in the movie. One of the major ideologies that seem to form the basis of the movie is the theme of power. Moreover, he also described various ways that are usually applied by dictators and other leaders to seek massive support from a populace, basically, the theme of identity. In this regard, one may ask questions such as: How do they manage to brainwash masses to support their ideas? Therefore, it is prudent to argue that there are various specific ways used by autocrats to gain support from masses.

Consequently, the director of the movie also seems to describe certain challenges that are usually experienced by dictators at the initial stages of convincing the public to accept their ideas. One of the major challenges emanates from the fact that their ideas may not be properly received by the populace they intend to lead.

In the movie, the ‘Wave’, the director presents the plot in a manner that gives viewers an opportunity to determine various ways used by dictators to brainwash the minds of their support making them support even their immoral actions. This is described as indicated below.

For the conflict, the movie introduces the documentary watched by the students. These students have questions that the teacher can’t seem to have the answer, a scenario that creates conflict since. The question that disturbs the students and the teacher the most is that they cannot understand why the Germans did not stop Hitler from killing the millions of Jews. This question is not exactly fair for several reasons because that question has been floating around since the event and a solution has never been found so it would be unfair to expect one teacher to solve it.  ...Download file to see next pagesRead More

... Compare and contrast perspectives that focus on individual-level attributes against those that focus on aggregate characteristics. If we provide a similar set of circumstances and constraints to a group of people, it is very likely that they will behave in the same way (Klein & Kozlowski, 2000) which means that aggregate characteristics are to be focused more than individual-level attributes. This is the macro perspective which is embedded in its sociological genesis and refers to the fact that there can be considerable similarities in people’s social attitude- a behavior that ignores the apparent differences among the individuals. On the contrary, when more focus is maintained on aggregate characteristics, then it is probable...

Pelamis (Wave energy system)

...?Pelamis (Wave energy system) One of the greatest strengths of the Pelamis wave energy converter is the fact that it has minimum impact on the environment. The energy produced is clean and it produces no polluting chemicals or greenhouse gases. It is potentially the most environmental benign form of electricity production, as it has a small environmental footprint due to the fact that it remains stationary during performance. It is more efficient this way and the kind of marine growth which causes drag to other moving vessels is negligible for the converter. Anti-foulants are also limited by the fact that the converter is semi-submerged in the water. It also requires minimal onsite construction which makes it have less impact on the nearby...

Edge Wave Formation

... quadratic to the local speed (Mei et al., 217-239). As the edge wave disseminated through the coastal formation, part of it's alongshore force is replicated, part is spreaded and part is degenerated on the formation. The replicated part obstructs with the arriving wave, creating up a partial rank wave outline which may help to expand rip currents, crescentic bars or other coast morphologic characteristics. The broadcasted part transmitted downwards as an edge wave with the same manner as the incident wave. In this study, the evidence and diffusion constants, which depend on the resistance loss taking place at the coastal formation, are estimated. The paper is prearranged as follows. First, the problems of an edge wave disseminate...

Radio Wave Propagation

So waves lose strength rapidly. [1]
Radio waves travel very fast but only in a straight line. Thus the curvature of the earth should limit the distance between transmitter and receiver, a distance of about 60 miles 100 km). However, the earth's atmosphere has properties that allow enhanced propagation. The atmosphere is layered, and these layers have important effects on waves that are propagated on the earth's surface. The layer called the troposphere is a heavy, oxygen filled layer that extends from the surface to about 30 miles (50 km) altitude. From 30m (50 km) to 260m (416 km) is a highly charged layer called the ionosphere. The ionosphere affects radio signals in different ways depending on their frequencies. [2]

The Little Dictators by Antony Polonsky

...The Little Dictators by Antony Polonsky In his book “The Little Dictators” first published in 1975, Antony Polonsky focuses on history of Eastern Europe, mainly in the period between WWI and WWII. He discusses historical events and more importantly, historical processes that occurred in six Eastern European countries- Poland, Czechoslovakia, Hungary, Yugoslavia, Austria and Romania. The book, according to the author himself, is written in a language that is “as simple as possible.” Polonsky clearly demonstrates that the politics and economics of Eastern Europe in a crucial era between World wars are not as complicated as many other experts would say. Although the mentioned period in history is by many standards turbulent, with Great...

Water wave

... regarding the characteristics of water waves, very little has been done regarding the association of these waves with water currents. It is, however, important to note that carrying out researches on water waves (including the association of these water waves with water current) have not stopped; researches is normally carried out continuously. In order to understand the properties of these water waves, it is important that an extensive analysis on the waves is carried out. This paper, therefore, aims at analyzing water waves with regard to the researches that have been done on water waves (available literatures). Causes of water waves Just as earlier mention the main cause of water waves, is to make a disturbance on water...

These energy resources are also sustainable energy resources. As, renewable energy resources are free from green house gas emission, these are environment friendly. Solar, wind, hydroelectric, tidal, wave energy, etc are all renewable energy resources. Renewable energy resources do not require the fossil fuel resources to produce energy instead renewable energy resources make utilization of the naturally available energy resources. Solar energy captures the heat or light energy from sun and converts it to electricity. In the similar manner, wind...
