Furthermore, it is important to thank the interviewers when the session ends. These are some of the lessons learn from the material relevant to the standard interviewing techniques. On the same note, it is important that all telephone interviews be conducted in a very quiet room where there is very little and minimum distractions. One may need to have a copy of his or her curriculum vitae as well as any other document that the interviewer may be interested in referring to. This is very important in answering the questions asked by the interviewer as well as maintaining the right direction and focus during the interview. During the interview, one needs to observe a lot of things. First is the dress code. One needs to be very neat in order to create first impressions (ppt, 4). In addition, one must always be ready to ask questions at the end of the interview. This is important in showing that the individual is interested in such a position. Moreover, there are a lot of things that one should not do. For instance, one should not forget the names of the interviewers, be late or speak negatively about the previous employers. Moreover, one should always not appear distracted and wear negative facial looks as this communicates controversial information about the interviewee to the interviewer. Moreover, one should know how to effectively manage stress (ppt 3). One must try as hard as possible to distance himself or herself from stressors like fear during the interview.
