The know-how to use this technology is crucial as lacking it may lead a country to undergo economic hardships and high production costs. Therefore, it must be used creatively to create “magic” that helps a society develop. The second type of technology is the technology of reproduction, which is only possessed by organisms. This technology is crucial as it leads to new offspring. During the transfer of biological knowledge, natural innovation results in slight differences between various organisms.
In addition, because it allows organisms to be in contact with other organisms most of the time, it enhances creativity as ideas and experiences are shared. The third technology is the technology of enchantment, which involves the use of know-how to gain control over another human or organism, such as in art, dance, and music. Although man uses this technology to trap other animals, he can also use them to exert control over another human being’s actions and thoughts. This is the most sophisticated technology possessed by man and it allows him to choreograph creatively the movements of others (Gell, 1988: p8).
All these technologies can be used works of art. For instance, when Morton talks about the outdoors experience that brings Lenz to experience sustainability and self-sustenance, it is through technical productivity that the organisms attain their needs. Timothy Morton suggests in his writing that connecting with nature allows for the mental imaging and creation of the environment in the mind. In fact, this ability to interact with nature makes a huge difference between a schizophrenic walking around his surroundings and a neurotic visiting a psychiatrist (Morton, 2013:p3).
The schizophrenic is able to create magic from his surroundings by interacting with it, unlike the neurotic who is creatively closeted. By using this information, Morton is able to develop an educative and
