Art defines the application of human creative skills and imagination to express their innermost being and feelings. Through art, illustrations of significant appeal and principles that I find fascinating are expressed. In this regard, I intend to develop unique skills and techniques through which I hope to reinvent my purpose in life and create my own identity, which comes in handy in the creation of an artistic legacy. Abstract expressionism encompasses artistic works of canvases filled with field of color, which involve vigorous gestural expressionism by use of uniquely defined style of drip painting.
These techniques emphasize the freedom of an artist to illustrate an outburst of emotions and attitudes by use of non-traditional means. Personally, my use of abstract art seeks to evoke critical thinking of the audience, and with this, connect with many who understand the message conveyed. Among the most renowned artist in the realm of abstract expressionism is Jackson Pollock, who has played a critical role in my art inspiration. Pollock was regarded as a reclusive artist who expressed himself through abstract art, and believed in being with harmony with his painting failure to which, the final product would be a mess.
Considering abstract expressionism artists matured during devastating events in the world, it was intriguing how he expressed deep feelings through the unconscious. I believe by involving the unconscious being during abstract painting facilitates confrontation from which a series of emotions emerged. Most critics of his work would be polarized, creating a mixed reception for his work, and it is for this reason that Pollock created a unique identity through his painting styles and techniques. I have found it relatively easy to identify with abstract expressionism and experience the freedom to express feeling regardless of their nature.
Feelings ranging from confusion to anger are plainly expressed and acknowledged by my target audience. Abstract art has created a sense of unlimited imagination through which deep feelings and emotions are expressed. Such freedom translates to immerse confidence and free flow of emotions within a single painting. Consequently, this has created a means through which I can explore infinitely alternative dimensions of art. In addition, freedom encourages creativity and diversity, which allows me to develop an identity as well as modify artistic techniques for my growth into the art scene.
It is the above reasons that have evoked a need within me, a yearning to explore the world art through abstract expressionism. This form of art has established a means of self-expression in a bid to engage my audience in critical thinking and self-reflection on to what my art represents. Intrigued by the freedoms within this form of art, my desire to be among those renowned for the same art grows. It is through abstract expressionism that I am able to project the various feelings such anger, confusion, happiness, and harmony without fear of error or reproach.
In the same way, I can be conveyed complex messages by use of natural, abstract, artistic works encouraging insight into issues affecting the present society. Art and particularly abstract expressionism have been an enormous inspiration, which has taken root within my being and thus seeking to be nurtured to maturity.
