The directors main duties in a film set is to ensure that there is role casting, script editing, shot composition and shot selection.

In addition to that, they must have very exceptional artistic and creative skills so as to develop a captivating film. Directors are also prone to make acute decisions in a film as well as they must be able to know the cast staff well so as to delegate roles effectively in the film (“CreativeSkillset: Film Director”). According to the film, the director has directed the film towards the story line of a full moon and religion thus making this mix yield intensity to the audience. Production producers: These are individuals that have the final responsibility for the film under making.

They have the overall control of the film as they happen to be the factor that brings together the production team as well as the cast by ensuring that the film environment is conducive to work in. They can be therefore termed as the individuals who are accountable for the success or failure of the finished film (“CreativeSkillset: Producer”). According to the film, the producer managed to make the outcome of the film be a horror movie which is best suited by the choice of colours that has been used as well as the fast and thunderous beats and tone of the film, which is its sound.

The cast staff:These include the individuals who are involved in the film and they do appear on camera. This also incorporates any voices that have been used as part and parcel of the film’s production. All these are warm colours that when placed in a film set they base the emotional response on deep feeling and fear emotions. The artists have used lighting so as to outwardly portray the creepy and horrific intention of the script. This can be evidenced by the choice of colours of their costumes and the props also have the same significant colour and lighting scenes. This same aspect influences the audiences emotional understanding of the characters involved in the film. Lighting in the film has portrayed that the theme behind the story is not flashy and colourful but it is deep and intense.

This has impacted the whole story by depicting what mood the audience should feel when they are watching the movie. Location and culture is another important factor in the film. The setting is a location that is far from the urban area. The roads leading to the house are abandoned and dark without lighting or street lights. This by all means causes a chill to the audience and leaves a thought that something ought to happen as the two ladies drive through that abandoned road to the house where one of them is to be a baby sitter.

The costumes that the characters wear are black and heavy clothes with a combination of heavy jackets, hats and scarf, thus depicting that it is a cold setting. These costumes depict that the character has been placed in a cold environmental location and thus the fear or creepiness in the film is well complimented with regard to costumer and the cold environmental location. Hairstyle and make up has been set to colours such as black and golden. The main characters hair is black. Black is a dull colour that is characterised by a feeling of emptiness.

As a result, the film has deployed this aspect of the hair colour fully with regard to the characters such as the family from the desert that wanted a baby sitter and the girl that was looking for the job as the baby sitter. This setting reveals that the characters are in a setting that is creepy and if one was to originally be there, they would have the feeling of fear. In my opinion, all the design elements are working perfectly in harmony with each other. The colours used on the characters, lighting and scenes, clothing all represent the main theme of the film.

As a result, the film is perfectly in line with the theme that the film maker had in mind and thus all the design elements do complement each other well to portray the notion of a horror film.
