The film ‘Boys N the hood’ shows a neighborhood where youths aimlessly drop out of school to join their fellows in the streets. The film depicts Doughboy one of Tre’s friends as street-smart young man who lives by stealing from the neighborhood stores (singleton et.al 1992).
