The paper "Relationship Between Chinese & Australian Travel Agents" is a great example of a research paper on tourism. The inbound Chinese tourism market has been identified by Australia as one of the fastest-growing markets and an export earner. Despite it, the inbound Australian tour operators face difficulties in dealing with Chinese agents. Issues associated with differences in culture make it difficult to search for the best partner which thereby impacts the overall growth which the tourism industry can witness. Realizing the size, complexities, and importance that Sino-Australian partnership in the tourism industry can play as a study is being carried out to find out the factors impacting the relationship and mechanism which can be undertaken to improve the overall relationship. The study will thereby look towards answering the following question

A. Identifying the relationship between Chinese outbound travel agents and Australian inbound travel agents?

B. Identifying the fey factors which will help to improve the relationship between Chinese outbound travel agents and Australian inbound travel agents? Also, looking at the manner in which the different factors are related to one another?

C. Identifying the manner in which the difference in Chinese and Australian culture has on the relationship between Chinese outbound travel agents and Australian inbound travel agents?

D. Identifying the role cross-cultural factors can play in developing the relationship between Chinese outbound travel agents and Australian inbound travel agents?

The study was carried out through the process of the interview which was carried out on Chinese and Australian tour operators. A set of questions was asked by both the Chinese and Australian tour agents based on which the analysis was done. The analysis brought forward the following result

The study highlighted that Chinese travel agents are buyers and Australian travel agents are sellers. The study showed that the process of building a partnership relationship is culturally embedded and the cultural differences which exist between both countries cannot be ignored. The study highlighted that Australian tour operators didn’t find any problems arising due to cultural differences while dealing with Chinese business operators as they felt that carrying out business in a professional manner would solve the issue. Chinese tour agents found culture as one of the important points which were acting as a hindrance while dealing with people from Australia.
