In Learning and Collaboration Technologies. Technology-Rich Environments for Learning and Collaboration (pp. 117-126). Springer International Publishing. It is a journal article published by Springer. The author argues that the use f technology is not similar to all persons in the society and takes a particular case of the senior members. They view mobile apps as not applicable to all individual and at times see no value in the technology especially if the feature does not help them. Hence, acceptance of technology among them is evitable. Much information does exist regarding technology use by the older generation, but the study does not suggest for future studies. The review was extensive while methods of research were limited to sampling of the senior members that was common to other studies. Therefore, mobile apps are selectively accepted among the old persons that are unique indeed. Bennett-Kapusniak, R. (2013). Older adults and the public library: The impact of the boomer generation. Public Library Quarterly, 32(3), 204-222. This is an extensive journal published online. The author’s tries to find out of what services are offered by libraries to the older generation. The findings show that programs that target the senior members are few since only 32% of the selected samples provided computer learning to the senior members. Therefore, society is not helping the older generation to acquire technology. He proposes studies for future libraries to provide for the many age groups that exist in the society. Not much information was available while literature review was in depth that provided a useful insight into the subject. The authors provide for future studies as to how this information could be used to take care of the older members. Information regarding the subject though has been in existence for previous studies. The review was extensive and provided a significant view of the reading. The method of research was by observations of the various groups that were common to other studies. The authors observe that information technology can improve the lives of the older generation; the only inhibiting factor is the lack of skills to use the technology. As a result, they propose learning criterion of face-to-face to enable them acquire the skills with ease. The study is very soundless regarding future studies and only uses its findings to draw conclusions. Not much information was available but the literature review was in depth that enabled the reader to integrate the subject matter very well. Case studies, sampling, and observations were the methods used in the study. As the few acquire skills, they motivate the rest enabling a majority of them to acquire computer knowledge. Bonnie, R. The study does not provide for future studies and neither is the information available concerning the subject available. The review was extensive and provided an excellent analysis of the learning while methods of research were limited to surveys. It is frustrating that a particular group cannot practice their rights due to their age in the society. Mieczakowski, A. K., & Clarkson, P. J. (2013). Ageing, Adaption and Accessibility: Time for the Inclusive Revolution! The journal is a publication by CUED database. The authors observe that technology adaptation is on the rise. But in lieu of this, there is technology exclusivity among the senior citizens making them lag behind. They hence, propose device features that offer services that will enable the older members to acquire the technological skills. Information regarding the subject was much available especially from the inclusive product design. The information does not provide for future studies while literature review was very much extensive that enabled readers to have a well view of the subject matter. Information regarding the study was uncertain to find making the comparison such a daunting task. The review was in-depth and offered an extensive analysis regarding the research topic. Methods of analysis were by observation of the senior members as they used the technology.
